higher elevation growing

I have tried growing in higher elevation (approx. 1300-1400m or 3500-4500ft) with little success. I had one local strain from northern BC called PG and it did fine, survived the late august snowfalls and september frosts, but can't get it anymore! I read about snowbud and pamir gold and was wondering if anyone else has tried these strains at higher altitudes? Thanks.

Wow! I was worried about growing outdoors at 1500 ft above.I have never heard of anyone personally growing at such high altitude, although I am sure sopmewhere in the world is being done.
