Hlg grow light

Iv recently ordered the hlg 650r for my 4x4 tent but shortly after I received this email saying

For a 4 x 4 area, the HLG 550 is a perfect fit.
The HLG 650R is designed for 5 x 5 so it will be too powerful and produce too much light for your area.

What do you guys think, should I keep the hlg 650r or get a refund and order the hlg 550 v2 RSpec?

You will probably get people who tell you the 650R is perfect for a 4x4 and those who will tell you the 550 would be better. Just order what you want...if you go with the 650R, and it is too powerful, then just dim it down.

Only if you dont install a dimmer, or don't have the ability to raise the lights is it too much. More diodes is a good thing.

I have a 650r in a 4x5 and its beautiful. Every now and the I'll dim it for a few hours just to give the girls a break lol.

I use a 4 inch intake turned down a bit and a 6inch extractor. My grow area is 4x5 but the whole room is about 14x4. Thing runs pretty cool especially when dimmed.

Too much is just right...
I'd definitely keep the 650 and dim it when necessary.
You'll probably want more in a few grows.:cool:

Just found this post searching lights. HLG ( authentic) is one of my choices. The 550 actually. Its between California lightworks electric sky and hlg. I read their customer service is iffy at best. But the lights are awesome. Im still on the fence
