They have an option for long ones now fwiw
I just got the extension cord. The thing is it's not listed as an addon at purchase point (add to cart) like specifying your power cord voltage or dimming option. Screenshot_20231018_111633_Edge.jpgOnly way at the bottom of the page after you scroll past a questionnaire aimed at businesses do you see that you might also like the dc extension cord. I think it should list as an option at the point of adding to cart.Screenshot_20231018_111654_Edge.jpg

OK, I see now. I shop at LED grow light depo, and there you can just add it to card.

That extension cord in your photo is for driver to driver connections I believe

No it connects the short cord on the actual light fixture to the driver for remote mounting.

And, yeah, that's what I meant. Obvious accessories shouldn't be buried in the catalog like that. But it's all good now. They really are good lights and I'm glad I made the plunge.

Do you know how many diodes in the tomahawk?

Yes it is.
Eric is a good guy and HLG is kinda scrambling RN because I literally have looked at web pages that were updated over a couple days.
CannaCom takes a bit of effort and they were just in Michigan recently. The dimmer is easy to keep at bay with a few cable ties and I imagine they will have better options in the future. Remember, they listen to the customer!

HLG FTW!

Maybe it's just me but it seems like there was a huge premium put on Samsung top bin diodes and MeanWell drivers only a few years ago by HLG (and others). Now it's a mystery as to what components one actually gets on these lights.

I'm not remotely qualified to say if todays product has inferior or better parts so this post isn't really about that as much as making me wonder if I was a sucker then when I bought into that then or now that it doesn't matter.

Not complaining, just wondering.

Nice looking light! You really can't beat HLG for quality, customer service, and warranty.
Major props to Hlg customer service. One of my SF4000 went bad & looked yesterday for another light. Always wanted a hlg. Checked out hlg on Grow Light Central & they still showed the promo that said 25% through Oct 28 so I tried the hlg25 but it was now invalid. Contacted Hlg customer service last night , nicely suggested Croptober should have lasted thru Oct 31 & how disappointed I was to miss it. This morning they responded by offering me a 1 time code for 25% off today only. I climbed on a 7000 Rspec FR. Almost Immediately received ups tracking number. Arriviving my house tomorrow. Unbelievable fantastic customer service act.

HLG is amazing. Last year I ordered two 65 V2 for seedlings from the "Refurbised" discounted page. Somebody had just purchased them, so they called and sent me two brand new ones for the same price. I just bought two 350 Diablos in Oct. I was leaving for a week, so I called customer service to see if they would hold them. He said he'd put them under his desk and to call him when I got back. I also asked if they can be daisy chained. Three days later when the box showed up, he had put a daisy chain cord in the box.

I'm a customer for life. Unfortunaly, I'm old as fuck, so they won't get much out of me.

Another “old guy” here, I bought a refurbished 550rspec a few years ago, after I got it, I emailed them and asked if the had the cables to move the driver outside the tent. They did not have the cables, but sent me detailed instructions on how to do it myself, complete with names of stores that carried the connectors, wires, etc.

My second Tomahawk will be fired up tomorrow in a new tent. Very pleased so far. 2 Tomahawks, a 200w Spiderfarmer and a 500w Viparspectra in my inventory now plus some legacy panels lol. I like them all actually. I'm probably out of the light buying game for good!
Don't worry brother, I'll carry the torch and buy every God damn LED I can afford and justify it by spreading them two to three years apart!

I suspect we are nearing a plateau where most lights will perform well. A lot of competition in the last dozen years has weeded out blurples and most cobs and other designs in favor of bars and panels and has certainly driven diode innovation. My first leds from Area 51 were cutting edge in 2011 but they were chunky boxes with cooling fans blowing on the heatsink and giant lensed diodes. I still have them for sentimental reasons lol.
