hey guys, pretty self explanatory here. Just picked myself up an HLG-600-54b from a gentleman with 6x 2700k and 2x 4000k qb288(the 561s), heatsinks, all hardware, fans, waterproof connectors, for $730 altogether. Solid deal I feel. Just built a 4x 2700k on two slates designed for 3 boards each, my plan is to run my CMH in the middle and those on the sides for a 6x5 area(half of my 6x10).
My question is, for better distribution and better efficiency, can I put the third 2700k on each slate and run 6 total off of one HLG600? Figured better spread, temp, efficiency, life..why not?

I would think instead of splitting power between 4 it would just split evenly between the 6. The 4 are wired parallel, am I able to wire in the other two as well in parallel? Thanks guys! Can’t wait for some PHAT plants!

You should be able to. 6 panels would give each panel 1867mA instead of 2800mA.
Which would put you at around 572w.
And you would wire them in parallel as well.

Thanks man! So I should see the benefits of running The boards lower such as higher efficiency and lower temps as well as better light spread?
