Hey everyone....

I was just wondering what people thought about this Grow light.... I purchased one myself thinking this was state of the art loike...

My grow is about 6 weeks nearly I think and seems to be working fine BUT....

I will probably be flowering soon and was wondering if anyone had any sort of feed back about flowering using this same bulb???

Any advice or thoughts welcome...

I was thinking about a low 70w or 150w Hps or but I think the space I have would be too small

Here;s a pic of the plant so far:::)

Thats sounds great well ill take a seat to see how it goes and good look mate. Ive done a post asking about dual spectrum cfls but no replys so now its my turn to wait god knows how long for a reply if any lol.
Oh yeah what wattage is that bulb and how many lumens it give out.

I thought these looked pretty interesting too, so I want to keep an eye on how you get on.

What impact does UV have? I heard you were supposed to give a 10 min blast a day, but at what lumens etc?

...might want a little more red for flower, or at least a 2700k cfl or "warm" cfl to supplement the PURple...
Did research recently and this post came up in the results of a search for purple bulbs so it seemed good info for others to find. Purple light is a mix of blue and red and is beneficial in all phases of plant growth. More blue for veg and more red for flower is needed but for flowering the blue light is supposed to be handy for the last couple weeks of flower as extra lighting to increase quality of ripening bud. Quality over quantity. Many HPS'ers are concerned with quantity (larger space, bigger yields, larger bills) than smaller grows where your forced into quality most of the time. The extra blue at the end becomes more important but here it's just used throughout the grow.

With that being said, this setup would be great and better than most with all red or all blue but only with the added extra lights, blue for veg and red for flower. Use purple bulb all the way through and switch out the absolutely necessary extra cfls when you would switch light duration.
