Hmmm123's lowryder2, cfl, grow.

hey mate, plants are looking fantastic. its my baby ryder#2's 19th day today, i had a little problem the same as you with yellowing of leaves, but not worrying about it to much either.

think ive been able to sex them at: 4 fems/1 male, out of 5 plants. gonna give it one or two days before i pull the suspected male though. will wait for his coconuts to get a bit bigger first so i can be sure.

Good You deserve it! what was the total yeild in the end? Oh yeh and does any one know if hermies can pollinate themselves and produce seeds? Coz im doing a lowryder and i think its a figgin tranny

Total yeild for my last grow off one plant was erm i dunno lol. There is a good reason why though! I ordered my scales off the net and they took too long to come soooo i had already smoked some by the time i got round to weighing her lol. I'll just have a look for you, ok so when i did get round to weighing i had 14grams left, i had smoked at least an eighth of her by this point though lol. Wasn't too bothered about my final yeild that time round i was just happy that i had finally finished a grow after 2 failed attempts lol.

As for the hermie well sorry can't really help you there, i had a hermie too last time but got rid sooo i don't really know. Sure i read somewhere though that if you let it pollenate itself you will get fem seeds, but they have a high chance of turning hermie on you. Could be wrong though! Was a while ago now.

so is that ur pc fuked now then? Fans are pretty cheap tho if u know someone who'll fit it for u

No i dont mean my pc, although that has broke this morning too. I mean the fan on my grow box isnt working

oh right, Yeah my first fan died after a few weeks of constantly being on, have u checked the fuse in the plug? argos do cheap fans

Nah it's not that, think the bearings have gone in it or something cos it kinda works just is making a load of noise and not spinning proberly. I might go back to bed before anything else breaks on me today lol.

dont do that hmmm123, the whjole house might blow up lol. I would take the fan apppart and see if i could clean it and get it working propperly b4 i chuck it out lol.

I can't be bothered today lol. It can be very nosiy till i get round to it and if it breaks for good then it does, to be quiet honest i don't really care right now lol.

Still havn't repotted them really don't want to unless i have too, there not looking too good though i took a couple of pics of the underneth of the pots and as you can see there are quiet a few long roots growing out the bottom now Also for the first time i gave them some nutes a couple of days ago only quarter the recommed dose. They semm short to me. Pics below.

well lowryders are sposed to be short, trinity was a taler type, with more of the cross being dominent its the rurails(sp) that keep em short i think. Ur jus growing a difrent pheno type thats all, maybe these ones will be more potent lol.

Sorry i havn't been online much laptop is playing up and wont turn on half the time!

Limbo and Lola are doing ok at the moment apart from Limbo decided to grow into the light the other day and burnt a couple of her fan leaves. Also i repotted them the other day. I didn't have any pots that where the right size sooo i chopped the bottom off one and tapped them together lol. You will see what i mean in the pics.

On to the pics first up is them both in there new pots in my cab.


Then here's Lola (number 2.)




Then here's Limbo (number 3.)




As you can see by the lighter i put in the pots when i took the pics Limbo seems to be a lot bushier than Lola hopfully they will both fill out a bit more! They seem to be just growing one main cola and that's it. Unlike my last lowryder that was really leggy.

Oh no! Purple stems purple stems everywhere well not everwhere but they seem to be getting more and more by the day. I dunno what to do they don't look to good, droppy fan leaves purple stems *sighs* My poor babies!

purple stems means overwatering you know, right?

you should let the soil dry out completley before watering, in my experience the past couple of weeks, it has been watering once every 3 days with 1 litre of water, for a 6 litre pot, at 85F

those look very lowryder 1 looking. lr1's grow just one cola and no side branching.

my biggest one is 18" tall and just as wide. and its only 4weeks. mine are lr crosses though i think.

purple stems can also be cause by nutrient deficiency?

I don't think it can be over watering, cos if anything they need watering, there soil is dry at the moment. Think it might be a temp issue cos my temps are only 65 max and thats with the light on, so it will be even colder when the light is off! Maybe i should switch to my light being back on all the time? Not sure if that would stress them out to much though. there on an 18/6 shedule at the moment. That's really the only way i can make it warmer for them, bloody english weather!
