hey everyone,,hows it growin,,almost 3 weeks of flowertime here and things are coming along nicely,,my line of Advanced nutes has grown,,I'm using the 3 part line of Grow,Micro and Bloom,,but have also added F1,H2,Sensizyme,B-52,Carbo-Load,Bloom Tea,and Big Bud Powder,,towards the end I also have a bottle of Final Phase for my 6 girls in 5 pots,(you can see the Twins 2 stalks in one pic below),weather is crap here outside the garage(temps are steady last few days at plus 2 to minus 2-3 degrees Celsius) but inside is staying warm,,between the 600 watt hps and an electric/oil heater the temps are optimal inside my grow room and I still only have the heater on medium,,all plants are already 3 feet or aproaching 3 feet except for the one right in front on the left which has not shot up like the others and seems to be a different green than the rest,,but she's still a girl so I guess it's ok,,all comments welcome

all the trees are bare,,the grass has a light dusting of crispy crunchy snow on it,,winter has arrived in Ontario big time,,yesterday and today are proving to be a real test,,weve had some high winds(45-50 kliks) for a couple of days,,coupled with the temps of zero to minus 10 Celsius brings us to minus 20 with the windchill,,which is what I woke up to this morning,,,I was worried,,my garage is only partly insulated,,I was almost afraid to open the grow room door,,but I did,,,and whew,,everything is ok,,good thing the wind is going to die off a bit after today but I may need some more portable heat or try to finish some more of the insulating in there,,when the light came on this morning it was 60 degrees in the room and has climbed to 66 so far,,,one pic below is of my electric/oil heater all barracaded in up against my air intake to the room,,I may take a piece of sheet metal and make a hood just slightly larger than the heater and put it right up against the outer wall where the air in is to concentrate more of the heat I'm losing off it in through the intake,,anyway,,hope all is growing well for everyone,,all comments welcome

Heya Hole, make sure that stove is certified, and installed with the proper clearances. My stove has been going for the past 3 days now, nothing like that heat. :D As for my grow room, thats another story trying to maintain the heat. I have to go get some water heaters for my reservoirs as the water is very chilly. My intake has a flapper on it but not the outtake, need to get one of those now and spray foam all around the hole ;).
Peace, keep on growing.

all your chimney inside is to be single walled. this is where you get A LOT of your heat. the more stove pipe you have run the better. you have to keep the draft going though so there is a line. once it goes into the HOLE in the wall/ceiling it needs to be double walled. everything from there to the cap must be double walled. double walled here cost me $40 a foot, averaged after the job. the elbows and traps are stupid expensive. they will save you from fire though. the single wall was $20 a foot.

i thought i scored when i got a "brand new woodstove" off craigslist for 100 dollars. $1000 worth of chimney later ...

it was still worth every penny.

Heya Holey,
That coffee may have to wait until spring, I moved to the country so I am a lot farther west now, lol.
I may have to check into those heaters when it gets colder, my res' are large so may need 2 of them in each.
I need a load wood fire wood, been burning lots in our stove this week. The weather in the country does not compare to the city at all when it comes to blowing snow, its crazy. The worst drive of my life was this week, couldn't see a thing but all white blowing snow. Ended up in a a ditch but managed to get myself out with 4x4. It sure was scary, you know I smoked myself silly when I got home, lol. ;-) bongsmiliebongsmilie
