Holy Grail Kush and 9# Hammer

Had to move the tent to outside shed this time around so many more factors to deal with this time (cold, changing humidity, heat).

I have two feminized Holy Grail Kush from DNA genetics going. They currently are ~4 weeks old from seed and I am mainlining them. They have had their first chop and are recovering nicely on their way to second cut.

Received my 9# Hammer seeds 2 weeks ago and they are just in their 5 gal pots.

This will be an all organic grow. HGK has one in 5 gal smart pot with Kind soil at bottom and local organic soil for top 2/3s. Other HGK is in 5 gal bucket with all FFOF soil.

9# Hammers have one in 5 gal smart pot with Kind soil at bottom and local organic soil up top. Other two are in 5 gal pots with local organic soil mix.

Soils have perlite added along with myco added at root bases.

Lights currently are 200W Cob from Timber lights and I have a 400W MH/HPS that I may switch out to tho the COBs do so good. Very tight internodal spacing so far.

Tent is 3 x 3 with ExHale Homegrown CO2 bag added along with small ceramic space heater and heated humidifier.

Working this time to ensure my VPD is in the green the whole grow.

holy grail came out good for me I've never grown the hammer though

holy grail had too much stretch for me you might have better luck with it though. i had to bend over the top buds which most snapped. as light was at max height.
Not sure if ill get more than 10 grams off the whole plant now.

With mainlining it and using tomato cage for support of the colas, I am hoping for a good outcome. Will keep everyone posted as I progress!

This grow I'm staying focused on the VPD which I know I was not in last two grows. I'm also comparing using Kind soil vs FFOF vs Local sourced organic soils.

I'll be adding a Jillybean in the mix once it pops out of its shell.

Topped my 9# Hammers yesterday. Recovering nicely. #1 is very bushy. Loving it. Switching to 12/12.

Holy crap it's been awhile since last update. Moved tent and plants inside from garden shed so now temps are better controlled. Holy Grail Kush has stretched like a mofo. The 9# Hammers were started later and are working on catching up. One of the 9# Hammers turned out to be a male so I ditched it. I also started a Jillybean 12/12 from sprout to throw into the mix.

Coming along nicely. Thought I'd try my 400W HPS light out for flowering so we'll see how it compares in the end to my 200W COB lights. Jillybean turned out to be a male so it went bye bye.

Well my tent smells of bubblegum and berries so I'm a happy camper and the smell is putting a smile on my wife's face.

So in a direct comparison of methods, my HGK and 9# Hammers in 5 gal. smart pots with Kind soil in bottom grew larger denser buds than the same two plants in reg. 5 gal buckets with decent soil. Will report back on weights after drying done.
