So Ive never even seen a hydro system in real life but after looking and reading a little i decided to build one, I used a 50 gallon tote, rigged one line of pvc up to a water pump ran 8 sprinklers down the pvc tube and on top of that 7 drip hoses for top feeding because the sprinklers dont quite reach the top. Im not sure id itll work, using lava rocks and cfls at the moment I have seeds in 6 pots and a small plant i had in peat moss that i took out and put in rocks. I then ran the drip threw holes and attatched with clothes pins to keep down and angled correctly, using rapid root peat moss plugs surrounded with lava rocks, drip from top and when roots develop ill turn on the sprinklers. I then put quarter inch pvc rails i can pull up and down for cfl adjustment any ideas? Kinda backwoods but its all stuff i pretty much had around.
