If you want to actually move air invest in a inline fan for 100-120 dollars. You wont regret it. I have tried the 6in home depot ones before, even bought bathroom fans for a few grows. Inline fan is the only way to go unless your running a 250 hps max. Also depends on your room size.

I agree. I'm completely new to this but I went out and bought a 4in version (from Home Depot as well). It has an 80CFM rating so I bought it for my veg room of 180cubic ft. It works okay to pull the air out but it really hasn't cooled my space at all. My space is pretty air tight so it helps with bringing in new air though. I've cut a fresh air port at ground level and the exhaust port is at ceiling height. Also, it's loud as hell. I have it connected directly to the wall flange so the sound resonates off of the wall. If you do go this route and you want stealth, I'd recommend hanging it from a bungee cord and then running ducting to help with the sound. This is probably how all fans should be hung though to prevent resonation.

I'll be getting a standard can fan once I can afford one for sure.

i vent a 1000hps and a 400hps with 2 6" fans. the reflectors are the sealed air cooled type. this is in a sealed 4x4 closet. they work great for me

Thanks for all the comments, the thing is they don't sale them at all homedeopot stores I'm going to have order mine of the website.
Now the 8in says it goes 200 and something cfms to 500 cfms. I was going use them for a cabby, and I was going to use the 4in for cooling off a 400 watt hps.

The fans that we are talking are about are originally used as a booster fan. They boost the airflow to other rooms in your house by hook up one of these fans into your ducting. They work well with other fans

shit Its cool pickle man, nothing to be sorry about. Hey thats my older brothers nickname "pickle". I was thinking for a cool tube I find a big glass jar with screw lid , and rig up some way to screw it into the ducting that was hooked up to my fan. Then It would be easy to change the light bulb if it blown.
I don't know, still just an idea. I would have to figure out how to connect it to my bat wing.

these duct boost fans don't more the air the advertise, so they are only good for cooling lights not rooms and even then its a stretch. the cooler the better, i
d get a real fan

I don't really have a room I have a closet and a secrete cabby. I have A/C unit and I'm only using one 400hps and two foot T12s.
Does anybody know if you can bring a window unit inside? Cause it would just be cooling already cooled air, and I could catch the water and water the plants.
