Hi all
I'll have to say i'm no pro but have tryed this method of co2 production with 2 liter pop bottle with time i hope to better my production. Ratio's i use is
6 liter's water 4 cups white sugar 2-3 package's of brewers yeast 2 gram packges.

HOW I DO IT
boil water but remember to use a little more than your going to use . Let water cool " room temp is good " mix sugar and water together . Poor mix into 3 2 liter bottle's all with the same amount in each. Now the tricky part i find is the yeast i tryed the brewers yeast that come's in 2 gram package's i use 3/4 to 1 package per bottle> MIX WELL< that's it . mix well 3-6 times a day replace mix weekly with fresh mix " repeat from step 1 " .
:joint: :joint: i dont think this will help you in any way for larger grow's but i only have a 2-2-5 flower closet to produce for " i think it only help's if not venting all the time " to let co2 to build up for short pierod's of time . let me know what you guy's and gail's think .

hope this helps someone .

You completly underestimate yeast. Yeasts have different attenuation levels and percentages of alcohol they can survive in. Brewers yeasts live for over a week and usually use 75% of the sugar given to them up until the specific gravity of the solution lowers back down to near that of water. During the active life of a yeast culture it will pump a lot of CO2.

4-cups of sugar in 1 gallon jug, with two teaspoons of yeats will get about 14-days of C02...i doubt it is enought to worry about removing it during the dark cycle....besides you cant close it off, so your wasting it either way.....

Peace

i found that making a hole in the top of bottle then connecting fi tank tube to it and sealing, made me able to run the tube over the top of my ladies thus almost dripping co2 onto them, sweet

i made my C02 in a water bottle. I left the cap on and put a small hole through it, then inserted a straw and let it hang right over my plants. It lasted a week and made my whole closet smell like a brewery. Im not sure if it worked, because i was noob and put it in with vegging plants ;)

just give it a nice shake every few hours.

I use a mixture I found on the Internet: 4 cps water, 1 cp sugar, 1 qt ounce paket of Yeast..
Have used it for some time, seems too work...

I'm trying to find a way to see if there is any CO2 gas coming out of the tube from the CO2 Jar to the plants??
Any engs out there? HELP! Its gotta be simple...,easy

yea there will be co2 coming out for like an hour really slow small amounts after a while it just slows to a stop because of all the yeast and sugar has been separated just shake your bottle and it will mix and start the co2 makin process again but after a few days it starts to smell like old bread kinda...but wont hurt the plants any...

i put alot of sugar and like alot active yeast but make sure it dont rise to top of 2 liter and i connected a hose to another 2 liter that i cut and placed over plant so the plant got str8 co2 and left it there for a day and half and i kept shaking in swirlswhen bubbles got near top of 2 liter but i did that to plants one at a time and itmade leaves look like Canoes and the was pointn upward and boosted them greatly and made stalk look thicker and plants are a lighter green ...its like a green house with a tube at top feeding co2 yall gotta try

take a cup of water or a jar....place the tube in the water and weigh it down with a rock or washer.....you will see the bubbles.
