It works well, I think the main reason is because it is a Fog/DWC cross so larger plants get plenty of water. The large airspace allows for optimum root zone oxygenation and really fast growth.I've never grown with fog, this is just what I have heard. Considering yours is DIY then it must produce a sufficient amount of fog if you can grow plants with it. I'm used to nutramist and all that bullshit, which doesn't work well at all. I'll be waitin for pictures....good luck.
Well I think its actually more about the water micron size, the smaller the size the easier the roots can absorb the water. Roots can't absorb air and water at the same time, except for with fog because the water droplets are a small enough micron so the roots are constantly breathing, never completely covered with water. It works well, I think the main reason is because it is a Fog/DWC cross so larger plants get plenty of water. Gonna have to wait a couple of months it's still in construction right now I have a lot of supplies being shipped and mother plants that I'm growing out. I'll have a thread with picsany ideas on how someone might utilize these 'commercially' ?
what would you use... rubbermaid storage containers and net pots with hydroton grorox ... or any other ideas on a fogger hydroponic setup?
ya, i was wondering how big of an area these could support .. or if one alone could be used for an entire gully. i know the fog moves down... falls... does he actually apply a slight breeze somehow as well in the trench?you tube gas a guy grwoing tomatoes in long fence post gutters like stink buds aero but with foggers at one end and fog drifting down "wind". The plants are fricking huge.
