Molasses is better. It contains Iron, calcium, and other micronutrients

Honey would provide sugar (carbs) though

I've used honey when I ran out of molasses a few times and haven't noticed any real difference in the finished product. It smells just like my molasses mixes, but I've never had it tested in any way. I use 3tbsp in a two gallon batch, about a tbsp more than I use when doing molasses. I'd love to hear some feedback from someone who knows a little more than myself.

Honey has anti microbial and anti bacterial properties. It would be killing the very things you are trying to feed.

Use the molasses.

I'm really new to all this but I did grow tomatoes some time back and the best feed for those came from sheep shit in my water. (used to piss in it too!) :-)

honey works out great and you cannot use too much...might get ants though...so skies the limit on the mix

This is why you don't use honey. might as well just use sugar.
