honey oil, can you make it with a plant in vegetative state?

ok fair point, i am also only talking about female plants and mature female clones, as well as the fan leaves from fully flowered plants. i know less then nothing about male plants.
ah ok.

Yeah I've smoked leaf from female plants that were growing like shiite. They have THC even if the plant sucks. Males on the other hand are MUCH, MUCH weaker...but have THC. Plants too immature to even show sex? I'd say no THC of any amount that would do anything.

those are from mature female plants right?

we are discussing plants that haven't even showed sex yet.
No, the charts are from, "healthy leaves from plants at vegetative or flowering stages and which were not closely associated with a floral axis."

Right, I hate when people act like they know something so strongly or more than someone else when they simply know nothing. Thc is found in a marijuana plant in small amounts when in the veg. stage. Granted there's not enough to get a good buzz by smoking leaves etc. I do believe that the small trace amounts could potentially be extracted and smoked with a fine buzz however it would be more money put into making it than what you'd be getting. That is unless you're harvesting a couple or more veg. plants. I'm not recommending it but rather than letting a plant go to waste if it dies or if you dont want to nurture it anymore, you could have something to smoke that would actually give you a high unlike the smoking of pruned leaves etc.

Well actually other than for informative purposes this post is no longer of intrest to me since she has perked back up. I put some lawn lime in the water and fertilized the foliage, the leaves that were dying are dying still but she has so much new growth coming in with such a short amount of time that I'm not too concerned...and yes I said "she"...IT'S A GIRL! =) For now until I mess up and turn her into a hermaphrodite lol. I think she wasnt showing sex to to the ph stunting and slowing growth among other issues I'm sure. So yay and wish me luck since again...this is my first grow and I had low expectations.

Vegetative OR flowering stages?

Which? It matters.

As far as not closely associated with a floral axis...is that just a fancy way of saying fan leaves?

There are multiple test subjects. Not all were of vegetative, nor were all of flowering. Both contained THC.

Yes, it's a researcher's fancy way of saying fan leaves.
OK... if they are averaging the results from vegetative and flowering...your results are skewed towards the middle. What is the middle of 12 vs 0? 6. How do I KNOW vegetative has any measurable THC from this study? My next question would be how many flowering plants sampled vs how many vegetative plants sampled?

5 flowering and 1 vegetative vs 5 vegetative and 1 flowering...which one? The results are shakey w/o knowledge of how many of which.

Give me results of ALL vegetative vs ALL flowering. That would be more useful. Even then...are they ALL the same strain of marijuana?

Multiple test subjects, multiple data sets, tabulated into a table showing concentrations for individual plants, not collated averages of all. All leaves on all plants contained THC, which answers the original question of the thread.

Except for sending it to a lab I dont know of any way of testing for % of THC. Anyway a little off topic but does anyone know of a use for roots and stems of a harvested plant. You can used the trim for oil but stems do not work to well for making concentrates .

Hello all, I am a first time grower, just did a light change 2 weeks ago. Out of the 20 seeds started, I only had 4 males. They have been taken out, but I feel they should be good for something. They are all about 2-3 ft tall and I was hoping that I can try my hand at makin honey oil with them. I have been reading previous posts and there seems to be alot of back and forth about whether or not it can be done, or if i will get enough to make it worth the butane. Also, I would like to know if I can use the leaves that have been trimmed over the past 2 months for honey oil as well. (hopefully this is in the right place)

You're asking on my post so not really the best spot to ask your own question but yes it definately CAN be done and it WILL produce an amount of oil worth smoking. You can use all trim as long as it is dried completely, then it needs to be grinded or possibly crushed up with your hands, look up the vid on how to make it theres one with a guy talking to his nephew, thats the 1. So yes use the males they will make more oil if you pulled them before their pollen sacks burst just remember to do it outside and no flames near by

Thank you for the answer. I am very new to this site, and I apologize for asking on your post. I havent figured out how to post a new question of my own yet, but still searching. Thank you again!
