The pic with reflector sitting on bubble wrap is currently what im using with 400w but its not big and wondering will it effect a grow of 4 plants.
I was given one from a mate thats bigger as seen in pic and should i be using that one but the problem is its a bit bent not bad just a little uneven on one side and the edges pushed in maybe a few centimetres not much but will that affect the grow.

The beauty of those is that you can bend tehm around to spread wide or tighten the footprint to cover a smaller area with more intense light. Thos are all I use and a couple that I like are much smaller than that one. Works with my 400, 600 or 1000W HIDs just fine.

With your 400 how high do you put your light for 24day olds roughly

Might start them at 24" then lower a few inches every 3 days to a foot over the canopy. Good air circulation between the tops and light too. Your wings should be bent in enough that light isn't coming out horizontally. Squeeze it in so the footprint matched the area of the plants then you're not wasting light.

When using the light rail I've run my 1000W just a foot above the canopy no problem but 2 feet if it's stationary.
