Hor Far Should Fan Be Away From Youngsters

I have a plant about 18 inches tall and ones that are about 6. how far shoud i put my fan away from the plant. If it consintly blows on the plant is that too much stress for it? please help me

i remember reading some where that if you have a fan blowing directly on your babies they will grow stronger thicker stems but i dont know how that effects yield or anything

You just want the plants to be waving gently in the wind, def a good idea as thicker stems means the plant can hold bigger buds. Think of big muscles with bulging veins supplying blood, same principle for the palnts and the waving in the wind is the weight lifting.

if u dont get a fan on them they become real spindly, lil skinny stalks that wont support future growth. even at two weeks , about 4/5" i had a fan blowin on mine. it was a six inch clip fan about 8" away from the closest pot but i kept revolving pots every day( i had six). they had shot too quick for my light which was too high. within two weeks they had built up amazingly. six weeks on(2nd week of flower every stalk is around thickness of my little finger and lookin sweet. i keep 2 x 6" clip fans and an 8" oscillating on in my tent (4' x 4' x 6.5') . there on almost constant. i turn them off and on thru nite to avoid temp dipping too much.

oh and constant fan reduces moisture that can turn to mould. happened to my buddy and it nearly fucked his entire crop.
