Hortilux Dual Arc 1000w Issues

hello everybody, this is my first post so let me say hi and thank you all in advance for any help or info you can provide me. I'm running 2 1000w sunleaves 2-way ballasts on 240v. been using Hortilux super HPS and Hortilux MH for the last 3+ years with no problems. I recently purchased 2 1000w Hortilux Dual Arc bulbs to try something different. I installed both bulbs, switched both ballasts to HPS and turned them on at the same time. there was no illumination, flash, spark, sound or anything else when I turned them on. I pulled one bulb and noticed the MH element looked blown, pulled the other bulb and saw the same thing. my question is, did I do something wrong or could this be faulty product.

Id take back orvreturn them esp since there new

I sent an email to the website I purchased them from. hopefully we can come to a resolution. hopefully I don't have to eat the $330+ I spent on them.

Are you using digital ballast? Digi ballast and those bulbs are no good.

That bulb isn't going to be the one you want anyways man. When you're flowering you want the light that is specifically built for it like you were doing.. kinda a don't fix it if it ain't broke thing.

And digital ballast with that bulb would work perfectly fine. I used one for a short time with my galaxy ballast but realized the extra price wasn't worth it. Good luck!

Your trippin. Those bulbs rock for flowering. Theyre not bad to go with a digi ballst. Read up on it .

my ballasts are magnetic. the company i bought them from is having me return them so they can check the bulbs themselves before making a decision as far as a refund goes. from what i can see, i didn't do anything wrong. i'm anxious to see what the company says about them.
