Hot Under My Hoods

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for looking and hopefully replying. Heres my dilemma. Getting extremely hot under my hoods.

Running 6 Hydrofarm Daystar hoods with 600 hps bulbs.

6" Vortex fans mounted 2-3" away from wall sucking fresh air thru a 6" hole with ducting. Off the Vortex fans is about 30" of almost straight flex ducting going into first Daystar hood. Then about 18" of straight flex ducting connecting second hood.

Now repeat 18" of flex ducting going into 3rd Daystar hood. Last is flexible ducting coming off the 3 rd hood running about 30" of ducting with a bend out a 6" hole in floor.

Im running 2 identical setups like described that are side by side with about 30" in between to make up 6 hoods. Running a 10" Vortex fan with filter scrubbing room exhausting hot air plus scrubbing room for smell. Also running wall mount AC. Now when lights are off the room is fine with the AC.* As mentioned when lights are on its getting super hot under the canopy like 95-97 degrees :( Also lights are about 18" above canopy.

Also Im running all Phantom 600 dim ballasts with HPS bulbs.

Any ideas would be so helpful.

Pushing air is better than pulling it. The lines need to be as straight as possible. A bend in the pipe will greatly reduce the airflow through your hoods.
