I was mostly just being a goof.
Though I will say I posted about the ENVY nutes, a little back. I'm surprised no one had any input. I really encourage everyone to at least read a little about them.

That would be a great chance for comparison. The key would be to make sure you have all the other factors exactly the same so that its a valid comparison. It would really be neat to see an honest side by side with the same genetics each time, and the nutes being the only different factor.

AN is for the kids who have never grown a plant and don't care about the science behind what makes plants perform well.
H&G isn't much better from a plant science perspective but their Aqua Flakes base (if you're into hydro) is inexpensive, respectably concentrated, and works great as a stand-alone from start to finish (just two parts instead of AN's 4 parts).
Between those two companies, it's an easy choice actually though you might want to tell the forum how you intend on using it.

What is missing in AN Sensi that is preventing it from becoming a complete base nute ? What did they remove and made a separate product you speak of ? Pure Internet bullshit.
Also, the feed chart states 20ml CE per gallon drain to waste? AN it's 12ml. or 18ml recirculating. Wow , concentrated. Price? CE $100/gal (trio) feeds 600 gals. 17c/gal . Not cheap at all!! AN = 14c

Ok so now I know its gonna sound like I'm trying to sell this stuff but I promise that I'm not. You guys making these comparisons has just encouraged me to go ahead and do the same thing. I had never bothered.
Envy nutes. 2 part kit $43 for one gallon of each part. You use each part equally so We will just call that one gallon for $43. By their recomendation you would use 1.5 teaspoons per gallon, which equals 7.39 we'll call it 7.5ml per gallon.......hmm. Each gallon makes 512 mixed gallons divided by $43 which would give us .083 cents per gallon of mixed nutes. Its making me upset I didn't get more sooner the more I keep reading. Any way that was interesting to look at thanks guys.

@thundercat Envy is indeed about the most concentrated of them all. Priced well too. I would put it as a solid contender with Dyna-gro. In comparison, I like the lower P values and lower ammoniacal Nitrogen of Envy. Also, as a 2-part with that high of concentration, there is less risk of elemental precipitation. I might give er' a try. However, the additional ingredients in AN should at least justify some additional cost; and with AN, IMO, the plants grow more vigorously because of these extra ingredients and their proprietary mixing and buffering methods. So, 14c, 08c, ..... doesn't matter to me. I will pay whatever it takes to get the ultimate dankness and superb taste. LOL.
I will definitely give Envy a try. FYI shipping of 2 gallons of liquid from Texas Hydro is $15 which brings Envy to 57$, ~ the same as AN. (note a vast amount of vendors ship AN free) I get 2 gallons (1 of A, 1 of B) for 57$
I will also try H&G CoCo. I found a source on Ebay that sells 10 liters for ~ 100$ delivered , 10$ liter

Well, we all know one shouldn't go strictly by the recommended dose. In reality, I use it at 10-12ml/gal.....some relief at least.

Well Pat I'm really glad you took the time to look at it. I've expressed my opinions on it obviously, and when I used it was extremely happy. I'm hoping I can get my local shop to order it, and not have to pay the shipping. This guy usually gives me anything he sells at 10% over cost so that would be cheaper then shipping.
I get what your saying about the added ingrediants, and am by no means saying AN isn't good. I just wanted to through another steak on the grill if you will. There are so many really good nutrients out there that each have thier advantages and disadvantages. So as with everything in out hobby of choice, its mostly a what works for you kinda thing.
You mentioned superb taste, and its funny cus thats the thing in hind site that I remember about the Envy. I had never gotten the type of taste out of any of my plants before in hydro or soil.
I also never use recommended doeses, I always decrease the dosage by 20-50% depending on what point in growth I'm at.

I actully use botanicare/advanced but if you are new and looking for a nute program both work well. But I do belive AN puts more research than H&G or anyother nute company out there combined. They make stuff that works.
Cutting Edge is a 3 part nutrient with some simple additives, Im sure that it works. All nutrients work to some degeree.
AN covers more dymaics of the plant growth than any other nutrient, and many are starting to copy AN adding supplements to their lines. (botanicare vitamino = b vitamins, amino acids like b52 and bigbud). bud ignitor, rhino skin, carboload, sensizym, nirvana, beneficals (voodoo, tarantula, piranhna) are all naturally occuring in nature. Did you know they found new types of benefical bacteria in their studies??? If you look up making organic teas they say its best to have a bacterial and fungal mix. AN has tarantula and pirahna one is funal and the other bacterial !! This is the reason I stopped making tea for beneficials indoors...They are really trying to figure out how cannabis plants work in order to make a better nutrient. Maybe not for everyone as all types of growing and nutrients.
