How am I looking?

Hey everyone. My first grow and want to get everyone's opinion. Aeroponic setup. I'm about 3.5 - 4 weeks into my grow and curious to see how it is measuring up. Thanks!

Nice plants. A little short, but tight nodes. You are going to finish them under HID aren't you?

I had a MH light in there but my temps were hitting close to 100 degrees so I changed over to the CFL and T-5 light.
With the weather getting colder I will be able to swap over to the HPS light when the time comes and not worry about temp being an issue (garage closet grow).
Any suggestions on lengthening or they're fine?

Thanks I appreciate the boost of confidence! I'm always worried about how short they are compared to some of the other plants i see on here. Good to hear that they are on track still.

Looks good man. I love bush! Don't cut the fan leaves off, that will not make them strech. If you want them to strech and I don't know why you would, just move the light farther away.

ur plants are fine at there height i would trim the first two or three sets of branches keep the fan leaves and dont forget ur plants are going to have alot of growth for at least the first three or 4 weeks and then ur plants should go into a full bloom and then they will start growing more out then up remember this gravity works against ur plants big tall ones have more popcorn nugs but alot of them and shorter plants have big thick colas the further water and nutes have to travel the smaller buds and the shorter the distance the more water and nutes ur buds will receive all my plants were 30 to 35 inches tall and my one ww yielded 122 grams on a aeroponics setup

Wow, thats the Shaggiest, most beautiful, tastey looking plant. some sort of AK?(just what it reminds me of).

Mercarus2- I take it this is your first grow, so experiemnt a little. Top one, Fimm one, let one go and find out what really works best for you and go with that. I top my outdoor grow and Fim my indoor, both work well for me depending on my situation. Just start small. Good luck

honestly this was my first with a hydro grow to i always did it in soil but i just let this plant go i had it under a 1000 and it did that all on its own but that dude has great advice try a few different ways and see what works for u because what works good for one person doesn't always to great for another me i love the topping idea but i can't really do it not enough room and to me to grow a good sized topped plant takes alot more room but i let mine go i lollipop the first few branches use them for clones and i trim a few fan leaves about mid plant to get more light to the bottom i only take two to four leaves off and that works for me the lights nutes water do the rest

Update. Day 29th. One's on the right are up to about 7 inches tall and the ones on the left are about 4 inches. Very bushy and oh so green. Smelling fantastic. Having such high temeratures in the first 1.5 really stunted the growth I think but they look awesome. Should I add more lights to the grow? I have the 3 CFL's and a Fluorescent shining on them from the same side as the camera (It is positioned barely higher than the rubbermaid container so that it gets the lower branches. My pH is at 5.9, temperature is at about 80 degrees, and my PPM is in the 800-850 range. Any thoughts are always welcome.

Day 30. Thick rope like roots. They are all touching/laying in the bottom of the top 29gallon container and starting to fall into the bottom 29gallon reservoir container. Should I try and keep them in the top or is it fine to have them fall into the bottom container and dip straight into the reservoir water? Will that help speed growth? Will I need to put in an air stone or is that not needed because it's a aeroponic / spray unit? I know it's fine to have the roots in the water if there is an airstone but is one needed for this?

Day 33
My bushy garden. So green smelling great. Short but thick. Plants on the right are approx 9in tall.
1) How are my roots looking?
2) The 4th picture, the three Red circled nodes, is this where I trim off? Keep hearing that I need to trim the bottom three off. Is this correct?

Your plants are short enough I think you'll get decent bud from all but the tiny branch right at the bottom.

Otherwise, don't change anything! You are doing great!

I am using 3 23w (i think). It's the 100w equivalent 6500k. I am also using a GE Daylight 15-Watt T8 Fluorescent 18" Bulb.
Tomorrow I am going to add more CFL's. For flowering I will be using a HPS 400w light. I had a 400w MH bulb but accidentally busted the bulb, which turned out to be a good thing in my opinion because the temps were hitting close to 100 degrees in the small room. The CFL's are keeping it between 70-80 degrees.

Should I be using more? Is that why you ask?
