How ARE PEOPLE COOLING THERE BATWING REFLECTORS?

HEY all, I have a 1000 watt ballast with an open batwing reflector and I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to cool it..

Are people just pointing fans toward them?

My space is 7 1/2 by7 1/2 by 8 feet tall

air conditioner, or get a vented hood for the light or make sure you have air coming in from a cool source..
