They are autos but apparently they was just put into a12/12 to show the sex
Am I the only one who's kinda doubtful these are actually autoflowers?

Cuttings put on 12/12 to show sex? Would that even work with autos? And who sells/buys non-feminized autoflowers anyway?

I should also mention that Im running two Vivosun 100w lights in the 2x2 tent. Its more than enough to finish the plants.

It does seem a little unorthodox. I guess the 20/4 light schedule will expose the truth. They will revert back to veg, if they are not autos.

Transplanting those autos into bigger pots is not worth it. If it were me, I would start some feminized photoperiod seeds in 1gl pots, ASAP. If your going to flower the autos on 20/4, you can definitely get some nice photoperiod seedlings going with that light schedule.
It looks like you still have plenty of space for a few more plants. I grow 9 plants in 1gl pots, in a 2x2 tent. Dont be afraid to cram the plants. :bigjoint:

I will try 20/4 and report back in a few days , soil reads 7.1 ph and leaves are curling down at the tips any suggestions ? Ive redirected the fan and moved the plants a little closer to the light, im not sure how the ppfd meter app is but mine is reading way less than the specifaction the light states on the website..

I will tell you my soil mix, but I dont recommend it. Im still fine tuning my recipe. My goal is to do the bare minimum, so that I can weed out finicky plants and focus only on growing vigorous robust plants.

Im using Black Gold, mixed with some coco, extra pearlite, and worm castings. Using Down To Earth dry amendments : Fish Bone Meal, Blood Meal, and im top dressing Jobes 4-4-4 slow release pellets.
My top soil has fine sand mixed into it, to prevent gnats and to help water penetration. Black gold tends to create a dry hard top layer that makes it difficult for water to penetrate evenly.
Im planning to run a test to see how the addition of vermiculite affects my soil mix.

Anyway, i dont recommend it. I think you will have an easier time using some pro mix, instead of Black Gold. Just mix in some worm castings and your good to go. What line of nutrients are you using?

You wont know for sure if those clones are autos or photos, for at least 3 weeks on 20/4. Thats about how long it takes for a plant to start showing the usual symptoms that it's reverting back into a vegetative state.

These were given to me and they are in cocoa and on canna a + b , had 1 feed i believe.

Wow yeh your mix is more pro mix than the actual pro mix haha, il give that a look into for when my seeds arrive.

Do you advise keeping the ones i have in same pots ? Maybe i can add perlite and worm castings?

Ta appreciate the knowledge

Stick to your current medium and fertilizers. Straight Coco works best with liquid fertilizers. I wouldn't add anything to it.

If you want to grow in soil, do a small test run with 1-2 plants. If your successful, then make the pivot and try growing a full tent of plants in soil.

So what am i likely to see from these plants in the next 3 weeks? Not much? No growth or anything?
I dont know exactly. If it really is an auto, then you will see flowers develop naturally. If its a photoperiod, you will also see flowers develop, but around week 3-4 flowers will start looking strange with twisted leaves. Like this...

The new cuttings these look a lot healthier! Obviously they need gettin in new pots asap but might not be able to get any coco until thursday to replant them. Ive thrown the others after seein the difference between these new ones and those, didnt even seem worth trying with them..

I'm not an auto guy but I heard some years back that autos are more likely to start flowering once the tap has hit the bottom of the container. Any truth to this?
