How bad did I mess up my dry/cure?

Harvested a big plant, did a general wet trim, left everything on long thick branches, and then just kind of forgot about it for 4 days. Problem is the rh was 25-40%. The small branches seemed perfect not quite breaking but the sugar leaves I had yet to manicure we're pretty fried. While manicuring and jarring it appeared the outer 10% of the buds were pretty crispy, but the rest was pretty much perfect. 4 hours after jarring with boveda 69's, rh inside the jars is 55-60%. If I continue on doing a proper cure burping at 65% will they still turn out ok?! It smells amazing, looks good, but smoke is still a little harsh and taste is "gamey" if you know what I mean. Unrefined might be a better word. The keif from manicuring tastes like weed mixed with nutmeg though it's incredible.

Reads like jarred after four days, if so fail.

Did it smoke and taste great before jarring, if not fail.

Many including boveda have some misconception that curing weed is 90% of the taste and smell - its not drying is and if you havent learn to dry you aint ready for the cure and why bud taste harsh.

Hang buds for two weeks and see at what point flavour and taste develop for yourself - really simple and will explain it all a lot better than boveda :-)

Well I cracked open a jar today and the smell is incredible. The outside aren't crispy anymore, it's dry enough to smoke, and tastes better than yesterday. Just gonna keep jars at 60% following a standard burp protocol. It's not possible for me to get the rh over 35% outside the jars right now. Next time I dry though I'll work out a way to dry longer with a humidifier of some sort. I should mention that my plant was 6 days without water, 3 days without light when I harvested so I'm sure that helped.

Jared after 4 days hang dried... But also went 6 days without water on the stalk. I remember thinking when trimming before the hang that I have actually got dealer weed in the past that was wetter. Kinda pissed me off lol. I would put it in an open aired bowl for 24hrs and end up with a 2.0g eighth.

Ive never used boveda's so bear with me. I thought they were more of an aid after you get the crop to a stable state of drying. For example, 24 hrs in a jar and maintain 62% or whatever you're shooting for.
Would they screw your actual moisture reading if used too early?

Trimming fresh makes no sense. You want to smoke half a leaf instead of easily pullinf the full thing out while loading the grinder?

My leaf pile tastes better than any wet trimmed bud. Because i let the dry ass leaf act as the buffer, rather than the air.

There's literally zero reason to cut the leaves in half while it's wet, unless you are trying to get it smelling like a lawn.

Who told you to trim fresh untrmed weed? You should break into their house and fuck their wife.

I dont have a wife and theres not a lot of leaf if you have a high bud to leaf ratio as is normally well grown bud. Any remaining leaf has enough trichs most are happy if a few are left half trimmed :-)

The reason is time, takes longer to trim dry weed. Depending on the structure you aren't cutting that much off anyway. Not sure what a buffer is for a fan leaf. Buffer to what? They just dry slower. If you have an environment which dries your weed too quick drying whole is a good option.

I looked into what conditions speed dry organic matter and none of us live in them and there are enough hang dry threads of dankness in most locations to disbelieve present humidity hype let alone boveda.

Outdoors in the sun ya a day possibly two - wouldnt expect the inside of your house to be that impressive or wtf you grow it to have to dry.....

I’m talking a day or two difference, I like to dry for about 7 days before bagging. But I’ll see a difference depending on the season, if it’s raining a lot etc, make adjustments.

It almost seems like you know what makes a difference.....but instead of just stating that you choose to make that post. Think about that for a sec guy. Or maybe two.
