how bad will smell be?

Okay got my plants.all sorted, more lights big huge pots and moved them to my friends basement, there going.into 12/12 tomorrow.and as.they are in.a basement.under floorboards.and carpet i.was wondering how.bad.the.smell.would.be.from lets say 2 plants flowering any.ideas? will it.come up.through the.floorboards.and carpets? the basement.is vemted.from.outside too thanks

p.s this is a pic of them last week they are now in.bigger pots and have.more.lights around covering the top and under grow, have to.flower tomorrow.as space is low.height wise and they may double.in size.so just being careful, they looking okay too? :-) first grow
 
Yep, much will have to do with what the strains are as that has a lot to do with smell but generally, you'll have a bit of a problem starting around week 6 of flowering
 
Like Cobnobuler said, it will depend on the strain. Can you exhaust outside?

I went a couple weeks into flower with no carbon filter. Tent in the basement, exhaust not for from the furnace intake. I came home from work one day and my whole house smelled "sour". The smell got exponentially worse by the day until I hooked up a carbon filter.
 
I have a single plant in a closet in my basement, its been pretty strong smelling even in veg. flipped the lights a little over a week ago and I keep a couple air fresheners in the room to mask it a bit. Only gonna get worse from here :-|
