How Big Does This Shit Get?

I am a not a rookie to growing but I am when it comes to hydro and feel kinda stupid for asking but do plants stretch more in Hydro than soil?
I put my cheddarwurst clone into flower about 2 weeks ago and the thing seems to at least triple in size. I have grown this cut before and never got the growth this one in hydro is doing. I am hoping she stops soon cause I only have about 17 inches to the bottom of the light(about 6'4" from floor). I might have to tie this girl all up.

This pic is from last friday, she is bigger now. I have to top her off with at least a gallon everyday. I will try and get a new one when lights are on.

Yeah thanks, that is what I am pretty much thinking. Just in soil it's easy I stick a few bamboo steaks and I am pretty much done. In the bucket I don't know what to do. Thinking about making some kinda pvc stand around it and tie her down to that but I am still thinking on the design.

Hydro and aero cause your growth to go so much faster than soil. You should be about finished (from seed to harvest )in 12 weeks depending on the strain. Once you flip to 12/12 it will double/triple in size in a matter of weeks (usually about 2-4 weeks). LST your branches. I usually take an entire branch and pull it down just to point it would break if I pulled it anymore. Then tie it down and wait about a week...you should be able to cut your strings off and she will be about half her height (some people leave strings on, but that just looks messy to me, and I like my environment clean and sterile).

Thanks for the tip, I sure do plan on not letting em veg so long the next time. Just was going by how I normally flower em. What do you tie your branches down to? should a drill some tiny holes in the ridges around the bucket?
I think I just answered my own question.

I probably wouldn't drill holes...but thumbtacks (the ones with the little knob on the end..not the flat ones) make excellent anchors and you can push them right into your bucket without making a giant hole that will leak. You can just leave them in there grow after grow (I would put them in the side of the bucket)...then get you some soft yarn to use as a tie. Just remember to not tie the string to the plant..that probably doesn't make much sense lol...but you want to loop the string around your branch and then tie the string so that it leaves a loose loop (not cinched down on the stem).

yup i made that mistake before, whole branch suffered had to give her up. what i do to tie down to my buckets is i use rebar tie wire from the masonry section of homedepot cut a peice about 8 - 10 inches and then i make a hook at both ends hook one end on a branch pull down and hook the other peice to the edge-groove of bucket, goes real fast and they pop right out when your done. re-useable too, only downfall is some rebar-tie wire is oily so you get oily hands, doesnt affect that plant though. i like the thumb tack idea too though. pvc frame sounds like a lot of work, a pvc pars and peices add up quick.

Yeah I wanted to know this myself, seeing as my auto F2 seeds have grown over a fucking meter in height and are now pushing to the top of my tent in my NFT tank!

By the way man, that plant looks immense. Really, really good. :)

Thanks for all the tips, and yeah pvc would add up in price. I have a bunch of extra fitting hanging around but probably not what I would need. I have been supercropping the main branches over and over and she seems to be bushing out more now.

I am in uncharted territories for myself. I have never grown a single plant this big, I cant wait to see the outcome.

Here she is tonight, measured her across and it's 45 inches.

I just finished tying her down and shortened her by about 7",so I think that should be good. I was gonna take a pic but the camera was dead. I will get a pic of what she looks like tomorrow.
