How big should my flower room be for 600w light? odd size?

My flower room will be sealed and vented out of room with carbon filter, then outside via chimney or dyer vent. I need to know the best room size for a 600watt hps with air cooled hood with reflector/glass? Possible 3x5x7 or 3x4x7 I could build room as big as 3x6x7? Suggestions please.:leaf:

We wouldn't try to grow further than about 2' of floor space away from where the stationary lamp is, when growing plants over 2' tall. Plants will grow further away but trichome production will decrease. The average 600w needs to be at least 13" away from any plant parts at all times and can support about 3.5' of vertical growth.

wow you managed to totally not answer a single thing he asked.....

4x4 or 5x5 for a 600 i believe and depending on what strains your running and how long your vegging for depends on what height you would like it but i woulnt go under 4`.
there is also an ideal lumens per sq ft measurement, if you can find out what it is( i believe it may be 10,000L/p sq ft but i could be wrong) when you find out what it is that will help you also.View attachment 1524899View attachment 1524900

I wouldn't go over a square meter (39" x 39"). But not less than 32" x 32". Try to get at least 8500 lumens per square foot.
Because if it's less, you're wasting energy. But do not exceed 13050 lumens per square foot because if it's more, you're
wasting energy. More lumens = tighter buds. If you use either of the dimensions I mentioned, yield will be very close as each
other, but the tightness of the buds will be greater as you get closer to 13000 lumens per square foot.

are you crazy, mothersfinest did answer the question he actually answerd it better than you did, he said no more than two feet either side, ( that is 4X4 ) not what you said 4x4 or 5x5, then he said no more than 13 inches away from your plants, you said if you look up and find out how many lumens your per sq ft that will help you, in my opinion you were answering a question and then asking one!!!

im only messing mate.....my cab is 4 x 3 1/2 roughly, got a 600 lumatek with diamond reflector, 1 x 4 inch exhaust, 1 x 5 inch exhaust, im still not happy with the amount of light and im def adding either another 600 or 400 after summer. each situation is different though
