How can I get this root to grow straight?

I was looking at my plants this morning and my sour cream's root was laying flat although the leaves were upright. How can I get the root to grow in the same vertical direction as the leaves?

You can try planting it deeper into the soil and get the light source directly over head. It looks like it is chasing the light.

I tied some sticks around the stem to see if they'll stand up. I dunno, I might do what you said. I'm worried about the stem and if it'll be strong enough to support the entire plant once it gets bigger.

Here's what I did.

Cool, thanks for that link. The string I used is very elastic so if the stems get bigger I'm sure the string won't hold them back. I can always take it off and re tighten. I just want the stem to be a bit straight and a little stronger. They're on day 11. Plan on updating my journal after the 4 hr darkness.
