So quick ph test kit didnt work because i cant read color card

I think there is a ph meter specifically for soil. I'm not sure though I use hydro more than soil so sorry i cant help more.

You can get a funky little test kit (Rapidtest?) lots of places . . . tests pH,N,P,and K levels.
Soil meters, probes, etc. aren't known for being reliable (scam?) unless you spend lots. I could be mistaken, but did buy a cheap soil probe-type pH soil tester and guess what, all my pots are perfect! In fact, it's never moved at all! Junk.

Man that run off looks like runny peanut butter. what soil and nutes are you using??
you might try letting it settle some or flush w/6.5 ph water till some of that mud goes away. Or use a paint or coffee filter to get rid of most of the soilds then test. I have never seen run off look like that.

Hard to say try using a dip stick soil h test. I have noticed that it worked at the hydro shop when i was first asking about ph testers. If you have good soil ( it should say what the stable ph is )and you want to add nutes and water check the ph of that before you water your plants to help control the ph of the soil. Hope that helps some.

Your pan water is nasty but I check EC and PH of water before it hits the coco then when it hits the bottom of the pan... Amazing the differences there and you can really save your ass.

i dont have an camera ,the picture is a sample, but my runoff isnt clear as well.

My run off water isn't clear either but I never get mud. most times I can run my test with a dip strip or the vile and see the results.

Guy a ph tester for soil at lowes. They stick in the ground. They're green. And they do work. I walked around my yard testing different areas like man... they're all like 7.8. This thing doesn't work at all. But then I tried it in some store bought soil and the meter moved to 7.0. These things really work and they're only $10 at lowes. Getcha one man.

Hey man I use a 4 in 1 tester. It tests ph, moisture, fertility and light intensity.
Its not the most accurate device, but it gets it within a ballpark.
Good Luck, Ive included a picture

i got one of these bro and they are good but ive started having problems with mine of late. i know they are designed for soil but i use mine in my hydro setup. when i put it deeper in the water the reading goes down the higher it is the higher the reading now which reading should i listen to.
