How can you kill pollen spores?

Has anyone gone over the top with UV lights and killed themselves or got first degree burns here yet? I'd like to read that thread :-)
Ask Trump....we can only hope.

Apparently there are thousands of people turning up to ER in the US from tanning beds they got burns and injuries

We banned UV tanners down under here in Oz so if you see tanned crew in winter they are prob growers

He is correct water will kill pollen. H2O2 will aswell. But the bleach that was mentioned in the previous post is really one of the best bets. because if you have a dollar store near by. you can pick up a gallon for nearly $1. Plus it kills just about anything else as well. Where peroxide kills microbes and the alike. They do both work well but I like to favor bleach over peroxide. I usually dilute the bleach aswell. I usually use like 3:1 ratio for the bleach. 3 parts water to 1 part bleach.
HIV is killed at 10:1. General hospital disinfection at 100:1. No need for 3:1 ever.

Yeah I never used them I got a CLF reptisun 10 @24w on the way I read they only have a small percentage of UVB and UVA. I read 1 will suit 1kw I am running just over 2kw but only small amounts is what I am after just enough to trigger cellular mutation not fry it lol

Think JD was running a bunch of metal halide uvb lamps. That is scary I would be very cautious with CLF or t5 these can be very dangerous as they mutate our cells cause cancer like sun burn causes skin cancer. They can damage eyes to.

The light you see is visible light in the low 400 range and above its deceptive as we can't see UV off course which can make some complacent but I would be cautious.

I haven't used them before so I have no experience its all a learning curve so getting advice from experienced growers is essential... Appreciate all opinions and advice
I use 400 w Merc vapor's... Supplementing 1K HPS, limited time on at early on times with the HPS.

Limiting exposure time and the use of good UV blocking eye glass's or shades. Fix the eye problem and the skin problems....
I go in, do my watering, inspections, trimming/harvesting and leave.

Harvested plant material is then hand trimmed in another location.....I don't sit around in my operations...

Yeah I am going to use timers stay out of tent I use glasses and hoody its not a lot of par but any wavelength that close to uvc is bad news. I train them early with uva just one 3watt osram SSL 80 take them out side for training just to get some and UV A UV B for a couple of hours then introduce uvb b on timer with small bursts so they adapt then lift uv a as they mature

Atm I am growing digitally but want to add hps or cmh which has great cri. For some reason hps get the fattest flowers its not the spectrum which isn't that great from a digital pov but hps was designed to push through fog it is more than spectrum its the energy type I guess. Unfortunately Hortilux is exy here harder to get the mercury lights have an amazing spectrum in the lower end. Its like guitar ams the valve amps are the best the digital is different but using both is an option a hps with digital lifting and targeting the cri the best of both worlds. I remember the old school 1.5 kW hps bulbs they were monster's. People got busted on power usage. I am at 2.2 kW and the power company said I was at state average and I pay 200 Aud a month lol

You buy name brand bulbs. You pay for the name! Brand X might give this or that in spectrum BUT, plain old Plantmax bulbs work just fine! They cost as much as more then 25% of the name brand.
They work in greenhouses just fine.
I buy by the case, even more discount... Longevity and performance are on par with the name brand "weed" bulbs.

See, that's the rub. If it's in a grow shop for cannabis. Triple the price of the item at least! I try and buy as little as I can from cannabis grow shops. Big savings!

Water,
Cheap Bleach.

When you use Bleach ,I use a old Mister that I used to use to mist clones, then put all fans on,to dry the Room, then just re do the room with Soapy water and wipe dry leave fans on till the rooms dry and smell has gone .

Water works fine too,but I do like to use the cheap bleach ,it helps kill any thing that you don't want in the room. But water on its own will do the job, just mist then leave all fans on to dry the room ,even the lights on just to help dry the room out .

Hope this Helps
Tyke .

Well I just bought a 600w nanolux digital ballast with a HPS and MH generic type bulbs and a small reflector no glass. Will get a 10k finishing bulb soon and check out those bulbs you mentioned.

HPS photon flux density is far higher the HID is more than spectrum.

LED targets spectrum cri well but has a far lower photon flux density.

HPS is the fat flower default but mixing it will LED and their ability to target trichromes might be interesting.

I am interested in lec it has great cri is close to hps in density and has good uv a and 10k finishing bulbs.

Its all a trial I got no idea how it will translate I may just go hps mh but targeting cri with led in a dense photon flux field has some appeal but sometimes Occam's razor works best, just keep it simple.
