How close to the net pots should the water me in my reservoir? I had a 25 gallon Reservoir but it caused my plants to be too close to the lights so I dropped it down to a 14 gallon reservoir. Just wanted to know the average size reservoir was?

The fewer bubbles your air pump produces the closer you need to be

I use minimum of 45 L/M air pump + 4 stones

I also have a 70 L/M pump with 8 separate outlets. This can be used for multiple bubblers

Ideally, you want to saturate the air space with nutrient rich moisture. This allows the stem (or tap root) to develop lateral roots

With my pumps I usually have ~ 2-3" air gap

as petflora said , a couple of inch , the bubbles break the water and moisturize the roots in air , this allows o to the roots and the plants loves you for it

I think I've got mine too far away from the water. I'm like five to six inches away. I'll add more water tonight. Thanks.

It will bee fine as long as roots are hitting water they will wick up water. I let my buckets drink down to less than 2 gallons with no problems..

The air pump I'm using has two air out, outlets. I tried to add two more stones but there does not seem to be enough power to get the last two to bubble. I guess another pump or stronger pump is called for. Thanks.
