Why is it that there seems to be more people growing indoors then outdoors? is it cuz people are afraid of getting caught or something?

You harvest more times indoors, people that are not legal have less risk of getting caught......people steal plants and what dam612 already stated control over environment....

ok thanks. how will i kno what stages its at since it will be outside and i wont be able to control the light? i have grown indoors before but now i dont have any room to so im going to try outside

I grow outdoors. Love the freedom of the plant growth, but pests have become a problem. Its definitely harder to be exact with how much light they are getting but its really not issue. As long as they are in a good spot they should get at least 8 hours a day. If privacy is an issue i would consider topping them so they dont get too tall.

alright cool privacy isnt really an issue, i mean i have neighbors but im not really worried about it. im just wondering how to start them off? like germinate and then keep them inside for how long? a couple weeks? when they are inside for the first however long before i put them outside how much light do i have on them? 24 hours straight or what? these are the things i need to kno cuz i have never grown outdoors, only indoors.........thanks

just plant them and let them grow. the suns light is stronger, they might freak out if you bring them from indoors to outdoor.

Plenty grow outdoors, you just don't know about it, people have to be much more careful about who knows outdoors, for obvious reasons.

It is easier and you will have a higher germ rate if you start them indoors; whether it be under flouro or HID. When moving them outside you have to harden them off. This is a process of gradually introducing them to outdoor light, temps, etc. I started putting mine out for about 5 hours a day for a couple days and gradually increased it and let them stay out a little later after dark when it started to get cooler. after a week and a half they were fine.
