They aren't dangerous in any way

And yeah they remove the foulest of odors. Hotels use them to remove cigarette smoke smell from rooms

Hah I dont know...What does the EPA have to say about it?

I really dont know much about them I just have a friend who works at a hotel and they use them every day in smelly rooms
(edit: oh and the ones they use in the hotel are 100x the size of the one in that link. They look like AC units)
Try asking Google. He knows everything

And if it is a small room it can be harmful in ways to the plants, on the other hand if you use it in a large room it doesnt really work as well as a filter....imo

Oh and I just looked at the price!

It's not worth the cash. If it's that small it probably isnt going to be as effective as you want it to be. You can buy a $30 in-line fan, $3 of ducting, and $5 of cloth and charcoal to make a very effective scrubbing ventilation sytem

That silly little generator in the link would be worthless in a grow op,you need much larger capacity unless your only growing one or two plants in a tiny space.

I picked one up from ebay & its fanfukintastic but they can fuk you & your plants up,on the larger models like mine you cant go overboard & shock treat a room while its occupied by people or plants.

I bought 3 of them recently. 1 was free for buying 2 and my friend wanted one.

The one I bought is probably close to the smallest and is adjustable so that it will go from something like .5 to 10 whatever that means.

I was planning on putting it in a 3x6' room and having it help out with the smells.

The $120 price tag is going to keep most people away I think. When I have tried these things out I will provide feedback.

it says good for like 1,000 cubic feet, so 10x10x10 which is bigger than my closet, and i dont need to cover up the smell of flowering just drying. and i did find one for like 60 worth it?

I guess if it takes care of your needs

It's your cash! You can decide if you want to try out the generator (chances are if it's rated for that much space its gonna work) or if you want to spend less but put more time in to making a carbon filter exhaust

Ozone is toxic in fairly small quantities.. The EPA has nothing but bad things to say about them: Ozone Generators that are Sold as Air Cleaners | Publications | Indoor Air | Air | US EPA

A summary for those of us with short attention spans:

Whether in its pure form or mixed with other chemicals, ozone can be harmful to health.
When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts of ozone can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and, throat irritation. It may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma as well as compromise the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections.
Some studies show that ozone concentrations produced by ozone generators can exceed health standards even when one follows manufacturer’s instructions.
Many factors affect ozone concentrations including the amount of ozone produced by the machine(s), the size of the indoor space, the amount of material in the room with which ozone reacts, the outdoor ozone concentration, and the amount of ventilation. These factors makeit difficult to control the ozone concentration in all circumstances.
Available scientific evidence shows that, at concentrations that do not exceed public health standards, ozone is generally ineffective in controlling indoor air pollution.
The concentration of ozone would have to greatly exceed health standards to be effective in removing most indoor air contaminants. In the process of reacting with chemicals indoors, ozone can produce other chemicals that themselves can be irritating and corrosive.

AlphaNoN is right for posting the EPA link. There are dangers to using ozone generators though it should be pointed out that they work great. if you are worried about the ozone - get a carbon scrubber.

There is a huge difference between ION generators/smoke-eaters/air purifiers vs. ozone generators. They are not the same thing.
