How do I get my room temperature lower?

I have a 4x4x7 growroom with a 4" hydrofarm exhaust system. Intake is with a simple fan into ducting, which is sealed into the room. Airflow is good. The only thing is that my temp is reading like 86˚F. Need that, obviously, at 70˚-75˚F. Is it a matter of simply raising the light? My exhaust is kicking out 156cfm.. What should i do? Thanks in advance!

Where are you running your exhaust ? Are you running it outside ? Or just outside your grow room ?

what is the cfm difference between your Exhaust fan and your intake fan. your exhaust fan should have a higher cfm rating for proper air flow. Also what kind of light are you using. there is a big difference between a 250 watt hid and a 600 or 1000 watt one. I'm running a 600 in my 4x4 and i was having massive heat problems with the tent closed until i made my 400 cfm 6 inch in-line fan my exhaust fan aswell. It dropped my temps a good ten degrees. I use a six inch hydrofarm can fan for intake connected to my window ac. my temps run between 73 and 78 degrees consistantly. Oh yeah for these tents you also need to hook it up to an ac for perfect temp control. I have my 12000 btu window a/c connected to both my 4x4 tents and everything stays nice and cool. check out my grow journal to see what I mean.
