How Do I Hang A Light With Chains?

Right now I've got my light stationary on a closet rod.. I would move my botanist tray up and down (very primitively might I add) on chains, and this isn't going to work when I get my 3gal buckets. So-- first here's a pic of how it is now:

I need to know the best way to hang a light over a straight rod while keeping it easily adjustable. I really don't wanna drop this thing while adjusting it. :wall:

Either s hooks and you can just go link to link to get proper height, or buy a horizontal blind and butcher it.

Just get a couple of these
and screw the chains  You can get them up to 150lb hold strength and they move by about 1/4 of an inch at a time. It's what I've been using.

Also I should have said I'm looking for a way NOT TO USE HOOKS, preferably by going around the closet rod.

Ive used chain and hemp rope in the past. Chain and rope is kinda scary because it can slip out of your hands and the light will fall on the plants. I had that happen a couple times. Eventually I tried the grow light yoyos, and now I will never use anything else. They are cheap and they work great.

Here is a bunch of em: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=grow+light+yoyo&_sacat=0&_sop=15&_odkw=yoyo+light+grow&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

Also you should crimp your light triangle hooks closed with pliers so they cant fall out.

I run them upside down so that the adjusters are right above light instead of by the roof where I cant reach it. I use zip ties or rope instead of hooks that can slip out.

yeah like that dude said, yoyo hooks or rope ratchet. you could technically hook bot ends to the light, and go around the closet rod with the rope, and lower it, or if you want to lower the rod you could hook them both together somewhere. They're pretty cheap and they really do a good job, I'm not sure how you'd do it without using any kind of hook.

Chains + S-hooks is a pain in the ass to adjust. Get the Yoyo hangers pictured above, they're like $10 and worth every penny.
