I'm not to harvest and curing yet but I wanna make sure I have everything figured out. When I harvest I know I dry until the stems bends but doesn't snap. Now after I put them in the mason jars I know I need a caliber 4 hygrometer, but how do I get the rh inside the jars do I have to put the hygrometer in the jar with it? I know it needs to get to about 60% and then you don't need to worry about mold I just don't understand how to get the reading? help please

I've seen thread where growers use meters for curing. Maybe my curing method is lame, but it comes out nice every time. One oz. per quart jar.
Open lid - little shake and turn jar half way - EVERY DAY. Continue for at least 7 to 10 days. Make sure you don't miss opening a jar - Missed one just one day and got mold that spoiled the entire oz.

I felt like I forgot how to cure.. I've been having a bitch of a go.. Then I realized I've moved since my last op. I'm right on the beach and the RH is different here. Opening the jars can only help so much you know.. If your in 80% humidity opening them will only make it worse, if your in 5% it's the same thing. I'm realizing I may need to get more of those boveda packs... They fucking worked great and I didn't have to think about it which was even better.. Just burp as normal for the first week then check once or twice a week for the next three.. Then set it..and forget it

I would go with the Boveda packs, Imhave been using these in my cigar box and my storage jars for many years and I have never been let down. Put a pack in your jar and that's it.

you can go on Ebay and get digital hygrometers just search for that title. you can get these little digital ones that are only $1.50 each from China. They take from 2 to 4 weeks to get here so order in advance. Are they accurate? I just bought another twenty I can tell you that they all measured within 2% of each other. Fine for what we do. I place one in the top of my 1/2 gallon jars so i can read it from the outside. A boveda pack is $1 for an 8 gram pack. Good for 6 months only at best. So use the digital meters to get it where you want it then pop the boveda in there and forget it. Order from Boveda directly and put it in your basket and leave it there. They will send you a free ship for your basket the next day. Just a tip to save the shipping. lol Anyways you dont need a hygrometer for each jar. I cure 5 pounds of the same weed at once. 4 ounces of non vacuumed bud fits in a 1/2 gallon mason. So I use about 1 hygrometer in a jar and then 3 without. Then I am a tightwad. lol I should probably buy a 100 of them. Anyways they work great. They will teach you alot.
