how do I top a plant that is in flowering?

I want to top a plant that is into flowering because I couldent cut a clone when it was in veg mode, also that strain does not branch at all. it has only 1 cola and since having it outdoor and now nuggets are forming. how would you suggest cutting it? I really wanna save this strain and clone, it looks like this

I wouldn't cut your main cola. What are you trying to do? Clone it?

probably the best thing for that plant would be to harvest the cola when its ready and leave the rest of the plant under 18/6 and it should return to veg in a couple of weeks. then you can start pulling clones.

yes, however as you can see thier only 1 cola... through out the plants life unless i can top it so it will split and make a clone, how should i top it?

dude listen to what the other guys was saying .. let it grow out and pull your buds off it then RE VEG it under like 18/6 20/4 and about a month after your plant will get even bigger and u WILL get some braches off it to clone. the other thing u can do if u dont mind "starting over" is to just cut that slut in half or top her LEAVING a bottom node on the clone so it roots, if u need further info pm.

I think that is the best alternative, let it grow than harvest and re veg it.
