i just bought some mosquito dunks for a fungus gnat problem im having, but im not sure what the best way to use them is. Do I put them in my watering water? Do i break them up and put them on the soil and then water? Has anyone used these before and what is the best way to do it?

On the back of the package it tells you how many gallons of water one dunk will cover. I usually cut mine into four pieces based on the size of my reses and drop it in. When the system floods it gets to your plants. VV

so i decided to just break one apart and sprinkle bits of it on top of the soil on all my plants. the package says it has enough stuff in it to kill larva for 30 days. I was thinking about it and now im a little worried that sprinkling it on the soil was a mistake. The active ingredient is bacillus thuringiensis, spores and insecticidal toxins 10.31%. Could this affect the taste of my buds or could i be smoking some of this? I just barely started flowering and on the package it says these are good for up to 30 days, but i dont know if thats 30 days in a pool of water or what. Is there anyway that having it on the soil will just disperse a little anytime i water? Could it be harmful to smoke the buds?

I bought my soil from a store.

It says on the back that you can put them in animal troughs so im assuming i should be ok but i dont want to die from smoking my own weed lol
