How do my girls look?

So I have two plants growing in organic soil/perlite mix under a 400w HPS in a 1mx1mx2m tent with a carbon filter and exhaust fan.

Temps are around 29c lights on and down to 20c lights off, humidity no more than 55%, normally its in the late 40's.

I'm using a mix of nutes, bloom booster on top of a normal flowering nutes at the moment.

One plant is a Silver Kush (more sativa it seems) and the other Blue OG (mainly indica)

I topped the Blue OG only and Topped / LST the Silver Kush

Im 4.5 weeks into 12/12 - I did a bit of leaf trimming yesterday, as there was tonnes of fan leafs taking up space. (hope that was a good idea, I felt bad doing it, but wanted to experiment, the light is now all over previously hidden buds).

How do you think they are going for being 4.5 weeks in? any advice greatly appreciated :)

Will they turn into fat colas if it keeps going well?

Sorry for photos with the HPS on.

Well dude I am undecided about this... I prefer not to stress my gals in any way during flower phase, and cutting off fan leaves is cruel. I can see why you did it, more light to the lower bud sites is ofc a good thing and really ur grow is looking just great so hopefully ur gals will handle the stress.

gief pics under normal lighting plz

Imo its better to leave the fanleaves on, if anything tuck them away. Theyre the powerhouses/ reserve tanks to ur plant and in the last 2 weeks where u would typically stop feeding the plant will take whatever it can get out of the fan leaves to continue production.

cheers Juss, its such a debated topic, so many people for and against defoliating i figured i may as well experiment myself.
