I am just wondering how the community feels about polyhybrids over worked strains. Also how do you feel about Subcool and the strains that they have available. I am looking at a few different breeders for strains that I may work into like F4 at least. Mostly just for myself but I will be sharing with others in California at the various events.

Thanks in advance for any strains you can point out some information on and any pictures provided.

Subcool is a very polarizing person. People either love him or hate him, and based on that you get some folks that grow nothing but TGA, and others that boycott them all together.

I really like fruity tasting strains, and so does subcool, so most of his gear is appealing to me. I have had his Cheesequake in my garden for years, and I also grew Jillybean. I wouldn't describe either of them as potent, but they aren't weak sauce either. They check every other box though so I consider them very good plants. No hermies, easy to grow, etc

Eh, I wouldn't pop beans from him but I'd take a known clone from someone if they thought it was good. Can't be bothered by what seems like weak sauce most of the time from my smoking experience of his gear nor possible intersexed plants. I'll let others do the work/selection over a possible waste of time. I don't like bad bets or a bad gamble in general.

I've grown out Ripped Bubba, and Timewreck, by TGA. Both were easy to grow and produced some interesting specimens. Ripped Bubba was ridiculously uniform and rather potent. It really all depends on what crosses you get from them, some are just okay, while others are exceptional.

Ive tried
Purple kush
Pink kush
And pennywise
All were stretchy and tempermental, yielded crap.
Chernobyl was amazing
Well the 2 sexy phenos out
Of the ten. It tasted awesome and looked really nice smelled even better.
Yield was decent for personal.

I dont care about the politics or whether a breeder is liked but i will gladly keep a chernobyl cut in my personal stash.

Most of what I've seen have been all show and no go. I do a have a friend that consistently grows Chernobyl, it's not bad. I personally can not stand Subcool and his sidekick Jilly or whatever. They just don't seem to be my type of people based on all the posts and videos that I've ran across. There are so many good genectics out there today that I see no need in trying any of TGA's gear. To each their own.

Dude I ended up with one female pennywise out of a pack of 5 and am currently on my fifth grow cloning it. In a 5 gallon smart pot, soiless with 600w hps I'm pulling a pound dry each of my last two harvests. It's not the most potent strain but it's supposed to have equal amounts of cbd which I need. Someday I'll have it tested to be sure. To be fair I'm not very experienced so I will be killing this one off after this grow to try out some cbd crew stuff.

Would you have any good recomendations for something orange flavored or smelling? I don't want to go with Barneys Farms though I have heard way too much bad from that company.
i think its bodhi has a cross with the ae77 in it. ae is one of the tastiest strains ever, its all orange. now it is lacking in the buzz side of things, so there your first hurdle as a breeder. the ae77 came from cali orange bud, just about every dutch breeder has that.
