How do people get rock hard buds?

Hey, i myself have been able to grow decent bud with a "dank" smell and sorta hard.. But ive bought buds that are like rocks.. ive had a bud that i broke a set of scissors and just want to know how to get buds that are like rocks?

No.. i dont mean buds like that where i live in australia we dont get compressed shit.. they are just liike normal buds only hard as rocks.

feeding them the right juice at the right time, have enough light. but a bud prmotot is the best way to go. i use bud blood. it does help with the bud dencedy.

with a good indica...what's I've done out of experiment once...let hang dry for a few days, then roll the buds applying pressure with the palms of your hands like you would roll clay balls into cylinder shapes...then I put them into a cardboard box for a couple days....bam! Hard as a rock.

THATS CHEATING. THATS NO DIFFRENT THEN VAPERIZING YOUR BUDS THEN SELLING THEM IN MY EYES. op sorry for the caps, nothing ment by it

it varys on stain and how its grown. bigger lights bigger denser buds. co2 adds to that as well. and as said above indica has more of a compressed bud the sativa does. i had 3 that where stunted for some reason an where only 3 in tall and 1 big dense bud

I know what you mean, rock hard buds are all good... a gram could look so tiny but bust out so fucking fat..

Dunno how its done, probably the genetics of the plant.

Co2... Got the hardest most dense buds with the Gas

CO2 and bud blood will do it, lower temperatures while growing, drying well.

I agree with most of what everyone is saying. I'm flowering right now and the buds are rock hard also. They also have that "dank" smell. My buds are so potent that I get high off the smell

The tricks I used were: get the lights as close as possible. Use molasses and water (1 table spoon per gallon), every second watering, during veg and flowering. The nutes I use for flowering are 1 30 20, I also used CO2 during flowering. For every jug of nutes or molasses and water I mixed, I added vitamins. Believe it or not, you can make your own liquid vitz. All you have to do is take a few multivitamins and run cold water over them to wear off the coating. Let them dry for a few hours and grind them up using a electric coffee grinder so it's the consistency of talcum powder. Mix the power with RO water (slightly acidic) and put it into some kind of container so you can add drops of your solution to your water. I tried this solution on 2 of 4 plants when flowering. The plants I used the vits on had bigger buds.

Also I used a 75w red flood light to add more of the red light spectrum. One trick that really helped for me was to bend the branches so the top of the plant had equal light. I am only using 3 23w and 2 42w cfl and 2 T8 flo tubes (2700k), also the 75w flood light. All this seems to work pretty dam good so far, just takes a bit longer. One of my plants yielded 7 ounces of dry bud. Replicating nature as best as possible, is the key. Don't have all your lights go off at the same time, maybe have the red flood light on for the last half an hour to replicate the sun going down. Hope this helps someone!

im pretty new to growin but my method seems to be pretty killer. i would almost go ahead and say that it is 90% the strain. ive grown blue dream and black berry kush. both came out super dense. its like that stuff when u were in high school and u got weed from your weed guy he had the regular stuff for normal price and the super kryptachronic stuff for some ridiculous amount. i use humbolts snow storm ultra, hydroplex , molasses for 1-6 and for week 6 to 7.5 i use mother of all blooms and a full strength flush with clearex. 7.5 to the big scissors just a tough dossing of clearex and a tiiiiny drip of molasses. T-5 for veg helps tremendously for bud density in my opinion. i did some under a mh and some under a t-5 and the t5 ones are the ones that come out extremo rock solid. the taller more spaced out plants come out pretty damn dense as well but every little bit of density counts.

I like the fluffy buds. It makes me feel good because it makes the bag look fat... I fucking hate packed buds in a bag. I always feel ripped off. that's why I just started growing. I want to be a bossss

In my opinion it is the distance the light is from the top of the plant. If the light is too far away the bud tends to stretch towards the light as it grows. If the light is a good distance the bud just grows more compact. Good luck

Old post but right conditions at the right times and low humidity Last few weeks of flower will garden buds up and make em increase resin production.

Good genetics, lots of light + CO2 and plenty of experience will get ya some rock hard buds.
