I just don't get it, The electricity Company calls my place for Cfls and everyone here has got 1000 watt lamps and such runnin.. How?
How do people get the power too maintain all this without being booked?

You got a call for using cfls?? that has to be the most out there call ever lol That should never happen. A typicall home can run 1000 watt per bedroom without much of any concern from electric company. Just pay your bill on time in full and in cash if possible
When you say 1000 watts per bedroom.....even if all the bedrooms are being lived in? Because you have a 3 bedroom house with enough people to fill the rooms, wouldn't there still be a big difference over those rooms, if you had 3x1000 watts going in the garage or something? Thx

No 1000 watts per room that total power.If the room is empty it can handle 1000 watts total or if there are people in there running a tv ,computer lights then the total with all that and a grow light shouldnt exceed 1000 total watts.

Can the Electricity Company see which room is using how much power and at what times? There was recently a pot bust on my street about 2 months ago would that make them more cautious of my area?

Like lets say a place I stay at. I swaped all my 65-100 watt incadescent bulbd with 13 and 23 watt cfls.That cut my light bill usage by 80%.Now to save more turn your computer all the way off when done and power the monitor off.Dont just shut down make sure the monitor power button is off it draws phantom power.A desktop computer uses 15-800watts of power.A big screen tv uses 250-1000 watts so tuen it off when not in use.Regular 32 inch tube tv uses 200-400 watts.Close curtains in the winter and it holds heat in so less furnce either electric or gas. Use a water heater tank wrap saves money either electric or gas.Now you just cut your bills drastically.Unplug stereos that have that little standby light as its still drawing power even though its "off".Now you use digital ballasts they use up to 30% less power then old heavy magnetic ballast and most are overclocked so a 400 watt light actually is as bright as a 430 watt light.

They wont see what room just what house is using a particular amount of electricity. SO if each room mate is running a tv,computer,lights,cell chargers, stereos your electric is gonna always be high.If you add lights on a timmer its gonna show a spike unless you can hide it via lowering other stuff
what exactly was in this call... " hey we see from our charts that your using 4 new 40 watt cfls" ? or something along those lines.. i cant see how they would call u for a few extra watt's... unless you have rigged together about 50 100 watt cfl's for a ceiling to your grow room? in that case i want pics

maybe you should just hold off on the growing thing until you get your own place.

Look there is no way those light could be detected.
Maybe if you had a few 1000Watt bulbs going they would start to wonder.
Be carful though, if there was a bust in your nabour hood, maybe they are just invesgating everyone.

If you bill is high and you want to hide your extra power usage. make you home more efficent.
Over wise, go to the Dump and pic up a BIG TV and a 2Kw Electric Heater/ Have them in your home, if anyone ever calls round just say "so what its cold and I like films."

you know dam well they didnt call you about your elctric bill.I have 2 kids and I pump my electric bill. theres always somthing going washing machine ,dischwasher.I dont give a fuck I suck up as much electricty as I want.I always pay my bill on time though.my bill runs about 300 every month.

na bro im 20, and the 2 lights I was only using while germinating, and i have 5 lights now and 2 big boxes connected together, with a washroom fan sucking the air out of both. Their full of live healthy plants.. hopefully i could get some pics, its just my setup, its so amazing and well thought out that it will work perfectly, until my friend and me can throw everything out. My friend has nearly double what i have and he is maintaining it the same way, and we still plan on popping about 100 more maybe 150 lol.. so yea probably sounds like a shitty setup that doesn't work but once i get some pics up on this you'll be really impressed.

You know whats the funniest thing out of all of this.. I fully know the electricity company can not just detect 2 cfls connected over 15 days but some how, some way they did and seriously they did call my house. I have know idea why or anything i have done this before and this is the first time anything like this has happened. Also I did have a friend that later turned out to be a informant for the cops, turns out this guy was giving up info on everything and everyone from the biggest drug dealers that deal with kilo's on end, too the smallest dealers grabbing 3 to 5 pounds a week i.e ME LOL, but he did not know anything about my grow i had ditched him long ago and haven't ever mentioned my grow to him.. but he is doing a grow with one of my friends, that sort of knew i was doing a grow with 2 of my friends but could not prove it he just saw me bringing over 1000$ worth of nutrients into my house one day and thats about it.. so you guys think it could have been this guy that snitched on me so thats why they kept an eye on my house? P.S I never EVER got caught for anythinggg too do with drugs so I am not looking too start now.. I know this thread seems idiotic and impossible but I would not make up such a stupid lie its the truth and i just don't understand any of it lol.

well intresting.... i dont see why a electric company would call you, what did they say (if you talked to them)? your "friend" that is giving the cops info saw you walk into your house with $1000 worth of nutes.... you don't think that raises any eyebrows?
That right there I would have my shitting my pants... what are you doing with $1000 worth of nutes? stock piling... no you are growing something and a lot of that something....did you buy them with a credit card or debit card? cause if so then you have a paper trail following you around.... and if you getting calls for the electric company you should think about being a little more cautious, that and when people around your house are getting busted for growing your local law enforcement has made this a priority, pretty much meaning watch your ass.

haha your jokes man I can't wait to get some pics up on this shit.. and yea I do live with maw you douche im fukin 20 yrs old I still have university too deal with next year. So I am not about too move out now and not be able too maintain my tuition after.. and none of this is bullshit I am going too be asking for growing advice all summer here and i will start posting pics and make a journal, but as for now I do not have a digi cam and my webcam is broken. So as soon as i get everything and snap some pics I will post up and show you my Op. Next year will be much easier as i will get a house on rent near my university with some friends and NO PARENTS!! lol so it will be more elaborate than this one.. I was planning on actually connecting another box too these two and drop another 25 plants but i ran into these stupid complications for no reasonn. I would have had probably 9, 23 watt Cfls under everything with one washroom fan sucking the air out of everything, but yea guess that might not happen now but hopefully it does and I can share this with some people that are none believers.
