How do they look?

So I can't remember when I planted these but it's been like a month. Ended up putting them in a mini-fridge grow box and have had them on 12/12 for about a week. Strains as labeled. Growing in regular dirt using my top secret organic nutrient mix. Only have 4, 23 watt CFL bulbs on right now will add more when I can get the gear.

Go!

So far they look good. it's always hard to tell in pictures that are overexposed like this.

Funny that you're trying to be all secretive with the nutrients. Seriously, you need to share the goods....that's what these forums are for....LOL

They look good. You should add 15% perlite to the soil the next round to give it more oxygen to the roots and it will grow a bit faster and bigger hehe but that is not what you want in the small scale. Feed it a bit more and give it a Lime green color. It looks like it could use some nitrogen.

Edit; I find that funny that you mentioned "top secret" I am pretty sure you don't have anything top secret for a first time grower. Be humble and enjoy the grow experience and learn. No, offense

plants are very small. They should be much larger after 1 month. The plant on the left has curled leaves. Maybe check how its transpiring?

Even then they should be a lot bigger. I like those 4 foot florescent hoods..they distribute the light evenly. 92 watts on those 2 plants still should be bigger.

I don't know what your secret mix is.. but it doesn't look like you added anything for aeration. My suggestion would be to add a bit of perlite and coco and you'll see different results.

Okay guise thanks for the compliments and advice. The dirt actually has moss type stuff in it which sort of gives it aeration, I'll definitively use some perlite next time. The pots are 1 gallon pots, and I don't think I'll repot because the fridge box isn't that big. They are bigger than they look in that pic.

I started with just 2 23watt cfls and added the other two 3 weeks in. Also, because the soil was some nice topsoil, I didn't start putting any nutrients on until like a week ago and they have REALLY started growing faster since then. And the nutrients I'm putting on it is pretty piss simple http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine#Agriculture Laugh if you want but I like experimenting and using whatever's on hand.

I'm gone for the weekend but will update another pic when I get back. Cheerio.

Oh, and mixed a some rabbit shit into the original dirt mix before planting. Rabbit manure is the only manure you can give to a plant directly without burn.

The lights look much too close to the plants. Leafs tend to naturally 'curl' (a bit) but telling from the pic, they may be curling because of the light being so close. Try raising the height of the lights about a foot from the plants, they will start to grow bigger trying to grow towards the light. Other then that, they look pretty good.

Yes. My lights have gotten too close several times from plant growth. I now have them about 2 inches away and it seems good so you sir are full of shit. These are cfls a foot away would be pointless.

haha yeah 1 foot they will stretch and fall over and die (past expierence) lol and yeah i mean it would help a lil if you did put up you light a bit but other than that impressed but just a golf clap impressed (could do better for a month but)Props:leaf:

I would of personally vegged them a little longer but they still look good. Good luck and post more pics after the flowers start to show :)

You obviously have never grown so please keep your mouth shut noob! This is your first post so get out of here and ask questions rather than giving one. CFLs should be 1 to 6 inches away no farther. A HPS is what you would do a foot away that is it simple as that. I am so sick of noobs giving stupid false information. Might as well read my thread https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/487843-beware-noob-answers.html

I have grown with the cfl being less than an inch away and they grew nice dense buds. So, shut up or I am about to smack you!

Well the humboldt has started flowering (one on right, image on left of developing flower) but the SLH (on the left) hasn't showed much sign of flower yet. I think I see pre-flowers on the SLH but nothing conclusive yet, so crossing my fingers.

They are short because they are in small pots, have bad dirt, and don't have the best light range/wattage, but considering all that, I'm pleased with this being my first grow. Other than a little yellowing/burn in some of the bottom fan leaves, and some curling in the haze, these plants seem to be healthy enough and have some fat stalks (1/2" thick).

How is that baby flower look? Sorry for the picture quality, my camera sucks ass.

EDIT: Oh and I tied them down for better light coverage. If they were vertical they'd be about 1' tall each.
