Hey all, ive seen a couple of grow vids and people keep talking about flushing everyonce and again to remove salts out of soil but how is it done and what do u need?
I agree with Fletch on the final flush - at least a week of plain water.Hey ceestyle, whats ur opinion on the frequency of flushing? I have been told that once before or during week one of flowering (to get rid of the excess nitrogen and chem. build up from veg stage) and once two weeks before harvest (adding molasys to the final flush for taste and stimulate resin). Then a third time three to four days before harvesting (in order to clear out the rest of any chemicals remaining in the buds).
Please help me. I am a semi newbie at this. My past two attempts have looked great but did not pass the taste test. I feel that not flushing was my downfall.
So far, I have flushed several older plants and found a TDS of @ 600-700 (using RO water with a TDS of @ 50). Its only been a few days and I think the odor has improved a bit. I plan to flush these once more before harvesting.
Thanks for any advice with this....
This is for the flushes during the growFletch. Wow. I think im more confused now.
First, im in soil.
Second when you say flush, you mean flood the plant 2 to 1 right? Heavy runoff, right?
This is for the final week before harvest.Third, everyday for a week? That sounds harsh, it won't dround my plants/roots?
