this is my method and it hasnt failed yet verry little to no shock.
go get thrive alive by tecknaflora great bc product
i use only flimsy pots so i can cut down the sides of the pot to remove root and dirt as gently as possable ill give technique without flimsy pots to workwith but keep in mind for the future if you can get thin pots you can cut with a razor knife you save a lot of hassle and plant stress getting the plant out of the pot
1. make sure your pot with soil is ready and has enough room to take the plant and root. i fill about half to 2/3 of the pot depending, than add more dirt from another pot i have put aside.
2. mix superthrive put aside
3. if using soilless or bone dry soil moisten soil VERY lightly with water if using something like gh allmix and is already slightly moist dont worry about this step
4. dont transplant when the plant is bone dry or just watered but just before to prevent having to water before removing plant from pot.
5. slide a butter knife carefully down the sides or a square pot or gently squeeze a round pot to loosen the dirt and plant from pot
6. put the base of the stem inbetween your first two fingers and turn upside down
7. gently remove pot and put plant into new pot
8. fill in all sides to your liking with extra dirt and give a good watering with superthrive
also teknaflora superthrive i swear by. way more natural ingredients including bc kelp than any other i've found.
just my tecknique hope that helps
also if using flimsy pots just take a razor kniife and cut 6 or 8 slits and remove the pot without turning upside down you lose a pot but save a shitload of time
cheers
