How do you drain your runoff?

Heck yeah, now you just need that drain plug for easy extraction. I personally just empty my shop vac into my Sump Pump but I'm growing in a basement so I know some situations don't have that option.
Yeah I dont see a drain hole on it though, I guess I'll know for sure when I get it. Either way it's not very difficult to wheel it into the bathroom (20 feet away) and dump it down the bathtub.

Fuck of a lot easier then the back breaking bullshit i'm dealing with now (that or just being lazy and not even feeding to run-off, which I know is bad, but so is crippling disabling pain lol, sometimes my plants just have to wait).

I can relate to what your saying there I've got trapped nerves in my back and sometimes it can really fck me up.
I've been thinking about just filling the tray with nutrient feeding 10 plants individually is killing my back, I normally work with 4x but I'm trying to get a good mother from a 10 pack so I've got to keep them all until I can test the mothers... I should've bought a feckin 5 pack lol.

It takes me 2/3 days to repot 10 plants, I can only do a little at time then need a break a little more then a break it's soul destroying

Yeah that's why this next time I plan on growing in a large 18" barrel pot (it has like 30L or 6.6gallon volume). I understand there are cons to having one big pot and monster plant vs a few like 5 gallon pots but it's as you say .. soul destroying. I only have 5 plants right now in small 8" pots and fak it's a bitch.

I need to devise an automatic watering system, I bought this cheap $25 drip irrigation kit off of amazon but it kind of sucks, I need to get some of those halo things, an accurate timer (or just fix my arduino) and setup some sort of drain system, though i guess the shop vac is that system now lol.

Though I had 5 of these critical purple kush seeds I am such a cheapskate that I planted just one and just hope she will be a good enough phenotype. Still to early to tell but she just hit 3 weeks old in this pic and IMO this is so far honestly one of the best/fastest growing seedlings I have grown yet so hopefully that means good for her phenotype.

Either way it's not like she will have a BAD pheno, just maybe not donkey dick cola metric.

I'm actually considering and likely will go to 1 plant myself, it would make things so much easier, for starters I'd be able to get in the tent, the dodgy back dictates that I need to sit down with 4 I've only stepping space so everything is done quickly or not properly 100%.
Dedicating the veg room (1x1mtr) to one plant I could have it ready to flower in the 1.5mtr with 4x plants I'd neeed to veg them for a bit due to the size restrictions Imposed in veg tent!
Firstly I need to get this absolute headache out of the way 8x flowering 10x vegging and 9/10 clones, I forgot just how labour intensive it all is I'm not getting any younger.

To begin with I expected I'd lose some yeild but after a bit though I decided maybe not, with only 1 plant and being able to sit in with I could apply myself to it with lst.

For a auto feed system I've got a variable inlet pump with a minifold and 4mm tube to each pot with some taps and crosses, it works as well as anything I've used including the watering can lol, seriously you don't need anything more.

I'll be interested to hear how your yeilds compare with a single plant keep me updated, best of luck with the pheno and I hope you have a great yeild many huge colas!

Just to add @guitarguy10 if you do make a automated system you can use a piece of capillary mating/cotton towel so when you go to the room the run off is sitting already collected, the thought of getting a hoover out hurts my back lol.

WOW someone who understands!!!!

It is VERY difficult for me to get into the back of my tent, there is almost no stepping space in there. I have to unzip the tent half way around and lean in like a fucking ballet dancer to reach the shit in the back. And nobody I have told this too has ever seemed to understand what my problem is lol.

The shopvac will be sitting probably right next to the tent anyways, i don't have anywhere else to store it anyways, so if I can I would like to just integrate it into the drain system, whatever I decide to do for that.

Do you have pictures of your auto feed setup? like what even is a 'variable input pump'? :( I was going to purchase a like 800GPH submersible pump and use that but i dont know anything about this shit.

This pump to be specific: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07L54HB83/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And sure i'll let you know, assuming I remember, like 7 more weeks of this harvest before I look at one big plant.

Buy a 1/6 or 1/4 HP sump pump for $80CAD, attach a garden hose to it. Low effort.
That's like 3x more then I have to spend, also no garden hose, and it's winter time (in Canada), I would never run water from an outside source (like an outside garden hose), I don't want my pipes to freeze :).

Sounds like a ton of effort trying to route a garden hose up 2 floors of a home and overcoming gravity lol.

Yes I totally 100% understand your pain and predicament believe me!!!
I remember saying myself recently on another thread that the stretching, leaning, reaching around from outside the tent is killing me, my screen pretty much makes it impossible to get a foot in, the side door.

My lights are off atm so I can't get photos of the one I use but I keep a spare pump and manifold here you go.

That type of pump draws from the bottom so you can almost completely empty a saucer/tray with them right out of the box.

£12/15 and extremely reliable.
This is the adjustable but it's not absolutely necessary you can use a tap that also allows volume control to individuals should you need need/want it.

Zoom in. Although the picture isn't super clear in that area you can see the cord bend and continue down.

If the cops cut all the cords on that raid you are talking about just like that they aren't that intelligent. For both the reason you stated and it's still plugged in. :o
I'll tell you what, if the Cops came into my grow rooms here in Connecticut, I won't be worrying about cut cords, I'd be going to jail & with the amount I grow, I'd be facing 10 years in jail, on a good day.
Very severve penalties here for mass production :(
When Biden finally becomes POTUS, he has stated that he will legalize.
I can't fucking wait :)

Absolutely too each their own.
There are many ways to grow herb.
Envoirment/mediums/nutes/lighting all come into play.
But at the end, if you are happy with your production/plants, thats really all that count's, right?
I'm content :)

You stay safe Doc, where I'm at now it's all fucked up with COVID-19.
Peace out
Clean up that pig sty. I just went and sprayed for bugs just looking at your room.

Years ago when I started to grow I used to grow in soil/coco in my basement, but then the hand watering/bending over got to be too much.
I switched to hydro, using a RDWC modified GH Waterfarm system & never looked bacck.
1 central, remote res that I only have to adjust every other day & that's it.
Fuck soil/coco in an indoor grow,
They do work, but are a pain in the ass.
Go hydro, something like this

I tried an RDWC the grow before last and it was a wet and miserable failure. They were in big totes, so way too much water lugging around, couldnt control RH, got pests and i believe disease was starting in (I terminated the grow before it got that far).

I guess we should just grow with what we know best, cuz to me coco is far cleaner indoors. Not lugging dozens of liters of water from bathroom to my room, no spills, i dunno coco just works for me and yeah I will NEVER be going back to DWC/RDWC no thank you! lol

I’m in Canada. Don’t have a drain in your basement?

I'm on the 2nd floor, it would require drilling holes in the ceilings of 2 floors, which I'm pretty sure the other tenants of this home wouldn't like. And there's a drain in the basement but there isn't a garden hose water faucet, those are all (both) outside.

I dunno man for my small 2'x4'x5' tent I think a 6 gallon shop-vac will be more then enough. If I had a dedicated room with like 100 plants in it then your idea would probably be better.
