How do you feel about Feather Meal?

I was thinking of adding some Feather Meal to my outdoor super soil mix, for some long term slow release N.
Sounds like a great way to ward off the early flower N def's. But, ive never used it, and cant find a whole lot of folks who have, and it makes me wonder why.

I am not a fan for a couple of reasons,

Number one:

I dont like animal byproducts (with the exception of organic manure), they tend to come from factories (where..? China?) where the animals where raised like slaves, feed crap GMO's and treated as inhumanly as possible.

Lets grow some medicine with the ground up junk they cant sell!

No thanks... (blood meal, bone meal, feather meal, meat meal etc.)

Number Two:

There are many other true Organic slow release products that offer the same nutritional levels, without coming from somewhere that would make you puke.

Alfalfa meal, Organic Soybean meal, Sunflower meal, Need Seed Cake, Rock Dusts, even Guanos and crab shell meal....the list goes on.

My 2 cents.
