How do you feel about tap water?

The sun dissipates the chlorine, or the UV rays to be specific, and it only takes about an hour in direct sunlight, it doesn't evaporate.
Not sure about flouride but I'd be very surprised if it evaporates as it is a mineral.

Oh, forgot to mention, I'm one of the lucky ones, my tap water is PH 7.0 and PPM 90.
We were flouride free here until 3 weeks ago too, it was debated for many years but they won.

When I started growing, I installed an RO system Best thing to do for water..in the home..since it got piped in!!*s* No taste means no yuck in it. RO systems..really are not all that expensive, has anyone priced the bottled stuff? The system was about $280.00 complete...Worth every penny. *lol* After I installed it, after a few days, when I took a shower , the difference between the 2 waters..the tap stung my eyes..and tasted like I chugged Clorox..Wanted to shave my tongue.

Same as ours. Now we do have a whole herd of critters *lol* I would still go with the 50-75 gal a day system because there are times that you'll need more water. The system has a 3 gallon tank under the sink to draw from.

Not many gals good for drinking and mj plant watering.
I misread your post*lol*
How many gals do you use now? I'm growing 5 SOG tubs each using 1-2 gals a day. I have a water tank that my RO goes into. In the tank there is a float valve, like a toilet. Aquarium supply stores have them, or online. It removes the "oh shit" I forgot to draw off water!

The system I've got will work fine, Since my wife does the filing, she'll have to look it up, as I don't(fingers crossed) know her system.*eg*

Well can't find it. She banged up her shoulder and moving a bit slowly. I found it online, about $270.00 It's a 4 element filter. The difference in the water is amazing. Water that we thought had no taste, now can't be drunk. The critters like it better, as does their coats.. Some of he cats still drink out of the back of the commode, but hey, who can figure cats! I sure as hell can't.

Fluoride is bad for people and plants.
I'm not disagreeing here, I personally filter my drinking water through a Brita filter and I always watered my plants with filtered water as well.
But now I've got 44 3 gallon pots going I dont have the time so I'm just using tapwater for the last 4 weeks with so far no noticable difference.

I put together an RO res for my grow as I use more water than the system can produce quickly. A barrel of whatever size you'll need and a float switch.. Marinedepot.com has the perfect one. It works like th system in the commode.
Now, if you're handy at DIY, the one for the commode can be used , just prep the bottom of the barrel like the commode is set up.. With the one from marinedepot.. I took a closet rod, a 8inx8in piece of plywood.Set the switch on the ply marking it's position leaving enough room for the CR.. Now, cut a hole in the ply the dia of the CR, and a small piece of 2x3 with a similar hole..this is to lock the ply onto the CR( so you can vary the water level based on need).. Mount the switch onto the ply..slip the ply onto the CR..set the CR into the barrel and screw into place..TOP ONLY.. Nowyou're ready..I'l post pics of this as well...(I hope)
