How do you get dense buds?

I am growing stavia I just harvested over a lb dried and cured but my buds are so fluffy. It is an amazing high but not what the dispensary's want. They want tight buds. I got good reviews on high but looks not so much said to fluffy. I am using 600hps light some decent soil and light nutes. My plants are about 4 feet from light. I am thinking if I get that much again this grow I will want to get rid some of it to upgrade room. I usually do not care what other people think as long as I like it but damn I want to do this right.

Grow you an Indica Dominant strain for the tight dense buds you are looking for

strains make such a difference but the best meds i produce out of 20 strains have less density. synthetic fertilizer salts and gravity/molasses makes stuff heavy but those "clubs would complain now and not in july when demand goes up supply goes down. indica dom strains

A couple of thoughts, pure sativa's are not going to get as dense and 4 feet from your canopy is allot of space.

sativas tend to be more light and airy to begin with, indicas have a better chance of giving the 'tight' buds your looking for, also, when you let a plant go a really long time, esp a indica, the buds get rock rock hard and very dense, with good lighting of course, and im sure the same happens with sativa to a point, you just have to let them flower longer, dense tight buds are indications of good light and maturity, best of luck
