how to get dense buds?

I respectfully disagree. Dense buds should pretty much be dense right out of the gate. If they aren't dense by week 5 or 6 a few more weeks really isn't going to help.
I'm not sure how much growing experience you have but no strain has density at 5 weeks into flower. When you squash the flower and think you feel density it's mostly water. Pick any flower at 5 weeks and I promise that after drying it you'll have nothing but airy fluff. The bulk of the density is put on in the last week when all the hairs are receded and the calyxes swell and harden.

And I'm pretty sure if OP had let the plant run another 2 weeks it would have made a lot of difference to his density.

Lets not confuse density with volume. Are you telling me a bud at 6 weeks has more water than a bud at 8 weeks?

before cure, right after trimming. this is an example of the density of all the buds that were trimmed, albeit this is a smaller size in comparison to the rest.

RQS is meh. A lot of autos are meh. People say they are good for beginners but so is learning by trial and error growing normal plants as many of us did in years past. My first 2 grows were with sub par genetics from breeders that i just randomly chose and it was the larfiest nug ive ever grown, once i started using solid gear my results improved tenfold.

this second run i'm growing mephisto and greenpoint; still autos because i need them to finish before may as i have to break the tent down for the summer months. i have more stuff lined up for outdoor growing this summer.
i just need to stfu and smoke a bowl, i think. haha! all things considered, i have over a half pound of perfectly tokable organic homegrown that isn't riddled with pesticides or other unknowns. three months ago i didn't even know where to buy seeds and just used google - hence the RQS purchase.

after two weeks of curing (not the exact same piece)...also maybe this is where i'm told that this weed looks perfectly fine for a first-time-grow? LOL

Doesn't look too bad, the fat banana pics in your journal definitely have a high leaf-to-bud ratio, which could just be a genetic thing.

Another thing to consider, when you buy bud on the street or at a dispensary, they've been packed (sometimes vacuum-packed) in large containers, which compresses the buds. Homegrown always looks more fluffy to me and I think it's partly because the buds are usually kept in smaller containers and don't get smushed at any point in the storage/transportation process...
