How do you like to dry your buds...

I never do. this year humidity was 60ish at night and mid 30's in the daytime. temps ranged from high 30's to low to mid 70's. In past years I kept temps at 70 and humidity at 37% hang time was 5 days the jars and burping for about another 10 days. I see some guys not hang at all. place bud in buckets and rotate every 20 min. there bud is great but way to much work.

The hanging of the plant, itself, is irrelevant. It's the cure that determines the quality of the final product. To answer your question, you're not missing anything. Good luck.

Depending on plant size I either hang the whole plant or each major branch to dry separately I only trim big fan leaves off, then hang to dry, then trim the rest of the leaves 5-7 days later when the stems still slightly bend (not snap) but most the leaves are brittle and easy to trim. The leaves being kept on while drying helps keep the trichomes intact all the way to the jar. My dry room is part of my garage where my flowering tent is on one side and vegg tent on other side with some thick fishing lines right down the middle for buds to hang dry. Stays 68-74F @ 52-58% humidity. After the initial drying, the buds are shaped down to 4g or smaller buds/nugs that fit nicely into a quart jar to cure for a month or longer.

Hanging is not irrelevant if that's the way your drying. Not saying you have to hang to dry. But if you don't it's a lot more work to avoid mold.
